Over the past time, I often go to bed until midnight. I should tweak my sleep time to offset my health and mind to be healthier, resulting in my prolonged life expectancy.
'Bring something back up' means to increase something again after it has been decreased. Georgie says 'If your genes might reduce your life expectancy, living healthily might actually help to bring that life expectancy back up.' So, in this example your life expectancy is lower than average because of your genes. However, you can increase your life expectancy again (bring your life expectancy back up) by living a healthy lifestyle.
George tried to prolong eating his tuna and cucumber sandwich, but he loved tuna and cucumber sandwiches so much he couldn't help himself. He ate it but didn't like the new type of canned tuna he bought. George tweaked the recipe and changed the tuna to the old type. The old tuna was saltier, and it offsets the bland cucumber. The tweak did the trick! The sandwich tasted very nice after!
I recently started watching this channel. I’ve known about it for a while but never got around to it. I keep listening to it over and over, hoping to get through the whole thing because there’s so much to learn.

Heres a little more detail for the nuances offset= put off compensate= make up for, to turn something from unequal in worth-> equal in worth nullify= to turn something into nothing of importance. Null=zero, so you make something zero. But “nullify” doesnt involve numbers. Its more like: “I do not need to call the cops, the problem has been nullified” Refund= to pay back, only used with money Just to be clear, probably the only words you hear from that group are: compensate, make up for, refund
