  • This is video #3 from the "Beginner to Chess Master" playlist. Presented is a structured way of thinking about chess. 4 steps are outlined with chess examples, taking what is known by one who simply knows the rules of the game, and building upon it. These 4 steps will have you thinking critically about the game, and place you in a position to not only develop an understanding of specific chess concepts, but also to lead you to discover more interesting questions about the game. The main point to take away from this video is to be curious about this great game. Curiosity did not kill the chessplayer!

I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
