GPR, I enjoyed this video. For years I’ve jokingly rationalized I like patina because that’s what I can afford. It’s true but I prefer originality in my cars, my advertising, and my wonderful wife. Keep up the good work. Next time your near Kansas City I’d be happy to show you my set up. Happy Trails TR
@@tomrowe7534 Thank you very much for visiting my channel. I am glad you enjoyed the video. I would definitely enjoy visiting with you sometime. I appreciate the invite. Yes “only original” once!
You did a great job cleaning up this gas pump. @ 7:48, I noticed the price for a gallon of gas was 24 cents, which seems like a bargain. I went on Inflation Calculator and 24 cents in 1930 is equal to $4.52 in 2024 due to inflation. It wasn't a bargain after all, as the current price for a gallon of gas here in Florida is around $3.
DANG ,that pump come back to life ,,that was awesome the way that paint come back ,,really like the stainless corners you put on ,really set it off ,thank for the video Rob 👍 👍
@@anthonynapier4668 Thanks Anthony, I really enjoyed working on it not knowing how well it would turn out. I am very happy with the results. Thanks for watching.
Rob, I liked to see the simbol/logo/image, how can I say ? Showing you and: "Petro Media Gas Pump Rob". Congratulations By the way, the Pump cleaning was nice.
Imagine back in the day when that was new sitting in front of an art decco gas station. All bright and shiny and the attendant dressed in a crisp white shirt with a bow tie and a big smile. Said good morning filler up?
Remember, it’s only original once. But hey, I left the factory 100 years ago just about so it’s originality as patina. On commenting as I watch and looking forward to a great anticipation how to pump turns out.
@@VintageVehiclesRelics-v6z Yes it was very filthy indeed. Remember the Good , the Bad , the ugly- this covers it all but it the end it is transformed back to its original glory 😁😁😁
Video of your process on sprucing up this gasoline pump was fun to watch
Thank you and thanks for visiting!
This was a very interesting video on your restoration. I enjoyed it. I like that you kept old paint and some modern trim
Thank you very much! I really enjoyed working on this old pump.

@@Eduardo-uo7qs Eduardo, thank you - you said it correctly. My nephew hired a artist to make that logo for me as a gift. 😁
I like how the problem turned out
@@VintageVehiclesRelics-v6z Thanks - my most challenging problem is moving this heavy beast around. It probably weighs about 400 pounds 😩😩😩

I hear that Ethel was a high octane kind of girl.🤣🤣
Yeah, Ethyl was hottie!
I have a Farm Bureau sticker that offers a $2000 reward. I guess it’s going up over time. Mines actually a sign. I saw that on the side of the pump.
@@VintageVehiclesRelics-v6z That’s cool you have a farm bureau sign! $2000.00 reward! Another sign reminding us of inflation 😩
yo los usaría PARA la cerveza. 😃

Gorgeous pump Rob.
Do you re wire your survivor pumps?
I heard you got down to the nitty-gritty on your discussion, but pumpers more than jake gritty. It was filthy inside.

Cast aluminum, fascinating.
@@tomtortolani8082 Yes it is - if they had used iron cast iron like some pump manufacturers it would weigh a ton!!!
@@gaspumprob BTW, nice Petro Media artwork.
