    I add ostrich to the tail for action and to make the fly sink upon impact with the water. Otherwise it is like a dry fly if you are false casting. Best source for ostrich is Aliexpress, feathers are sold for wedding parties and displays. They are priced by length of feathers and in lots of 10 of one color. $23 postage paid for 10 small pole 50-55 cm feathers with thick fibers over 5 inches long. I wouldn't get anything under 30-40 cm, fibers are 3-4 inches. Smaller feathers may be skimpy.

    I thoroughly enjoyed this video. My only regret is that I wish I was younger and could immerse myself in what there is to learn on the saltwater fly tying. Ben you are truly a master and your legacy will be remembered by many.

      you can learn these flies in a couple weeks especially if you already tie trout flies

    That's some good tying! Could you do a video on tying the Big Mac Hollow Fleye it's a really nice pattern and I've been trying to come up with a good Mac pattern. Yours is by far the best I've seen or is there somewhere I can buy a few
