Agnetha was the very first woman I fell in love with watching her sing this song on my television when I was just 10. I didn't even understand what she was doing to my body. It felt good though.
I was eight years old when I saw this on television in Long Island, New York. The first thing I thought was, wow those are really good looking girls. But when they open their mouth and SOS came out I became a fan for life. This appearance on Bandstand was the appearance that started my love affair with the group
@@JacobC479jacob, I'm 60 years old I was around back then and it is true the music was absolutely incredible and very inspiring but people were generally not too bright. Your generation know a lot more because of the internet about truth and what's really going on so we are better off now but the problem is the government is destroying our lives so you guys actually have a chance to take our country back and believe me all of us working together can do it and we will have better times than we could ever imagine and remember you can always play their music it will be around forever but we have to have a country to live in and good enough jobs to support ourselves first
They were heavily influenced by American Music. They loved Motown, Connie Francis, and their producer Michael Tretow was influenced by Phil Spector. Also they were die hard fans of The Beach Boys who are of Swedish Background as well.

IF I WAS ON AN ISLAND WITH AGNETHA AND FRIDA, I SURE WOULD'NT SEND OUT AN S.O.S.!!. I'D BE IN HEAVEN WITH THESE TWO BEAUTIFUL WOMEN !!.
Breathtaking. Real women. No tats, no metal in face, no purple hair. What Sweden had was incredible.
I genuinely wish I could jump into the video and stay in the 70’s. My dad was 5 years old when this aired, my aunt was 15… looks so great

When life was so good back then...Loved American Band Stand
Life was truly good back in those days.
I go freak's nuts watching Agnetha swing those hips. This goddess was to become
Europe's "Rear of the Year" 1975!
By far the best video of ABBA doing SOS. Excellent upload quality. Thanks for reposting this version again.
