So am I and I will like to know why. I personally and still do understand Yoruba but I have bot attmepted to do any writing since I left at the age of 9. I still believe that its a beautiful language to learn and speak. Just as a note, I have learned to speak and understand two other languages and that's where my reason came from. Singing in Yoruba emphasis my love for it.
