The base sound system is surprisingly good! Gets plenty loud. Solid bass (rumbles the seat). Just need to lessen the factory bass a few clicks and the rattles go away. Far less rattles than the JBL. JBL not worth upgrading for.

Yes they are a lot more expensive than they used to be but you get a lot more on a base model compared to previous years. Plus the prices have gone down compared to prices from 20 years ago. It’s the amount of money people make that has not been growing with inflation.

  • @mrmarano

Jolly good set of review videos on this car. Purchased an LE with the convenience package early last July. The power driver seat also features lumbar support, which largely resolved my lower back pain on longer drives. The control buttons are shaped like the seat itself, eliminating guesswork when making adjustments. The power driver seat rises and lowers, and the back reclines, but the seat bed does not tilt. The headrest is not powered. The power seat is very, very comfortable. The included Smart Key entry system works without any door-mounted buttons; just place your hand inside either front door handle and the car unlocks when it detects the key. By default, it unlocks just the driver's or passenger's door, then all the doors after a few-second delay, but it can be set to open all doors at once. All doors lock when pressing the touch sensor at the front of the door handle. Also, the car won't lock and will sound a warning chime if it detects its fob anywhere in the interior. I found the auto-dimming mirror very responsive driving under broad overpasses and through tunnels. The Convenience Package costs a little over $1K extra, but now that I've experienced it, I doubt I could do without it. Extra tip: I found the mutli-media system too bright on even the dimmest light mode. Set to dark mode, it blends into the dashboard and is perfectly easy to read even in the brightest sunshine.

I guess still need to add only the convenience package but other than that it is not really necessary to seek upper trims for significant more money. The goal is to pay for a great value and fuel economy and Camry LE has it all.
I think the XSE with options approx price 40k is really crazy because if you are willing to pay 40k then you really should not care about fuel economy and you can get very vary low mileage used, say for example, Mercedes C300 for this price.

    1. The Camry gets better miles, but the car feels a lot larger to me than the Accords. I like the mid-size field, even if they are exactly the same.
    2. The Accord's interior even in the Sports model, just looks better and more upscale to me than the Camry.

Why does Toyota just make the LE convenient package standard and just option the sunroof? And make the cold weather package standard on all AWD models? I never like the way Toyota do their packaging. It would also be nice to get a panoramic roof option on the SE instead of leaping for XLE and XSE trim.

I agree that the LE/SE is the trims to go for bang for you buck wise, these new ones have been wildly popular here in Tn I see at least 10 a day on my commute. One thing that makes me want to go for the SE/XSE trim is the sport suspension, I work long hours sometimes and can get very relaxed while driving which can equal to me falling asleep or drowsy possibly. Which has been cured by a rougher driving vehicle. I had a '15 ram 1500 it drove very well but my god it drove to smooth and floaty I had to put 10 ply tires on it to stiffen it up, it road stiffer than some bmw's. As much as I get tired of wind and road noise sometimes and want something more comfortable it worries me.

  • @floridaredneck

Thanks for the tour! I don't need heated anything where I live, so can't you get one without that? I like the convenience package, but I don't consider heated seats a convenience; I see that as an addition. Convenience is having a door open for you.. I thought you were in Florida too. Anyhow, if you can get one without the Cold Weather package, that would save some bucks. I think it nice looking and could easily be a "forever" car for someone older who doesn't need or want a new car every few years. My Sentra is 7 years old, 68K miles and paid for and I'd rather have a (new) motorcycle also, than to have a new car. But this one is really nice and I like fabric interior better than leather. I wouldn't have it even at no cost, and fake leather is a huge no, and bound to tear up over time.
Paying no attention to the 90s throwback fanny pack in a 2025 new car, (in front no less), it must be Star Trek time travel and you're from the past. if I were in the market for a new one (the car, not the fanny pack), this Camry would be in the lead. Sorry to give you a hard time about the pack, doesn't matter what's inside, no one does that, but I'll get over it if it isn't in the next video. I think the style is great and having had two Toyotas in the past (one was a Cressida - loved it), they were among the best cars I ever had.
I'm an auto detailer and have been since before it was a thing (40 years now). I see a lot of cars, drive most of them, and know in detail how they are made inside, but not under the hood necessarily (I'm a detailer Jim, not a mechanic). Some cars I only need an APC to clean the whole thing if is plastic, then wipe it down with some UV conditioner and I'm done with hard surfaces. It's so It nice to see one that isn't totally like that, and I get the back doors would be more cheaply made. I love gray, and my car is gray, but my seats are black framed with charcoal inserts. Those gray seats are rather light, so I'd have to see the black ones to make a decision.
You said it was "summertime in Florida". I thought it was always summertime here. I have Disney on my right and Bush Gardens on the left. We have 11 months of summer here and Christmas time is usually about 70 (there are exceptions). But a heated steering wheel? That is so pitiful. When I lived up north in D.C., I wore gloves and it actually got cold there. Great video, my comments are meant in humor. Very good car.

The lack of sunroof is actually the dealbreaker for me, and I live in Arizona 😂 not only is it great on the nice days, it’s a perfect way to help ventilate the car and let natural light into the interior. The few summer months where it is too hot, I keep it closed but as soon as temp starts to drop it’s a great thing to have. My last two cars have had a sunroof and I’m not going back. Kirk very nice tutorial. When I finally make an appointment at Toyota for a test drive, and have to deal with a salesman I wish it were you. I have not seen you with your kids but you seem like a wonderful dad! Now regarding the car: Is the AWD worth it driving in the NYC metro area? We have always been fine with FWD, and while it snows less these days maybe AWD would help car handle better in inclement weather and maybe AWD would be helpful to pull our of parking spot with a lot of snow, without needing to shovel ? Concerned about the front grill. Parking is scarce in NYC area and rear bumper and especially front grill will likely get a lot of dings. Any suggestions for front grill protection and maybe attractive protection for rear bumper. Leather steering wheel cover sounds attractive. Does that come with cold weather package? Does the based model come with floor mats inside and in trunk? Could you remind me of the safety features of the base model? My wife really wants front, side, back crash avoidance . Does the based model have adequate protection? I In my 2010 Nissan Altima i only have to squeeze the handles and the car unlocks as loon as key fob is in my pocket. Is that true in this car, or does it only open if you press the open button on keyfob? The Camry is a popular car. Is the sticker price negotiable?

This car with it's low MSRP base model in combination with a high mpg hybrid system will bring peace of mind to buyers that ownership will remain affordable. People buying cars with intentions to own them long term (as in 10+ years from now) should consider what gas prices could be in the future and what government/tax incentives for EV's could do to impact and undermine the resale value of I.C.E. cars.
