My dad was always gone and one day my mom told him if he left again that when he returned neither me, my siblings or her would be here waiting for him, but he left. That same day we were gone. I didn't see my father again until I was 4 or 5, I was 1 and a half when he left. I am now 13 and still call him father or the one that left me. I have never called him dad/ daddy.
