    Thank you strummer for making me start to raid! I remember watching your DSR strums and that made me want to raid and 1.5 years later I cleared DSR myself. Will be forever in your debt!

    23:22 Healers being extremely validated rn lol. There's a whole phase everytime where the game is like "You've healed and mitigated for up to 16 minutes straight... Now... A test of your MP pool!"

    i do wonder how eden ulti and eventually shb ulti will stack up due to the huge influx of players during shb, with how much those stories and how much the exen raids mean to them

    Absolutely. Been throwing my head against UWU in PF with the goal of joining a group for TEA to clear before Dawntrail, then hopefully DSR before the next Ultimate comes out. One solid pull away from UWU then the search begins! Will do UCOB and TOP eventually, I just want 90% of the TEA weapons and to do DSR more than anything else lol. If only it wasn't 6 AM and there's no groups up or I'd be in UWU right now. God I want to DSR so badly.

      DO NOT USE THE PARTY FINDER FOR ULTIMATES. There’s dedicated discords for doing pick up groups for ultimates and groups that help people progress through the phases. I’m a late night player myself usually midnight to 4am and it’s much much easier to find groups through those discords. The extra barrier of using a 3rd party program to find groups also means you tend to get people who are not skilled/serious about ultimates so less of the random pf bullshit

      @@deefour28 appreciate this, but I have since cleared UWU in PF and also found a static for DSR, currently working on P5 :D
      Plan is DSR, then TEA, then TOP (theyve already cleared it) depending on how much time we've got til Dawntrail. Extremely excited to have found a great group to do the new Ultimate on content for the first time.

    Yeah this ultimate is the Peak of FFXIV exp ever... and yep clearing this as Healer especially as shielder feels triple times better . and hearing you say about healer on last phase makes it more feel better... every time I reach last phase even after reclearing for over 10 times, last phase on DSR always makes my hands shakes... I wish eden ultimate will at least on par with DSR exp...

    Comparing the notes at the end about difficulty with what we now know about dawntrail is hilarious. Casual content was made harder and everyone complained its too hard. I completely agree though it needed to be made slightly harder, otherwise that gap is just far too wide.

    But tthe difficulty of FFxiv has something that WoW doesnt have.
    Casual players can use older content to become better. They might not jump into the next Ultimate right away but first do UwU, then Tea which is followed by the current savage raid tier.
    Players have a path to keep up with HC content, even when they start way down with watching dungeon guides.

    Even Zenos fight at the end, the game is too forgiving. Like, how can the game let people who don't know how fire, lightning, water puddle, and tidal wave win that fight? Even Zenos himself should not be satisfied with WoL like that😢

      Idk if you do Mentor DR but man, the casual ppl who cannot dot on bard at lvl 90 are more common than u think. 🥲 I know some fail solo duty on purpose to unlock the very easy difficulty.

      From a business perspective it is generally a good idea to keep casual content more accessible and build optional hard content from there. Many MMO developers from Yoshi P, Ghostwalker of WoW fame, creator of Ultima Online, developers for GW2, ESO, and various other MMORPGs are agreed with this sentiment. Honestly the average player really really sucks at games. From marketing research it has been reported by WoW developers that "people rather quit than improve over the slight increase of difficulty." As such better to make content like extremes, savages, DR, ultimates, mythic, etc for people interested in a challenge to sink their teeth into than to exclude people at the base level.
      You keep your base very wide while keeping the mid core and hardcore engaged with content. This makes your boss happy to keep funding your project. EW is definitely a more maintenance patch (backend, graphical updates, duty support, dungeon reworks, revamping all the ARR duties and MSQ) with more single player or small content (V&C, Eureka Orthos). DT Fanfest is the most content they have revealed at a Fanfest even Eureka or Bozja, Ishgard Restoration, Diadem, etc were announced at live letters not at a Fanfest.

      ​@@SoSakashiithe very easy and easy difficulties were unlocked around EW because people kept complaining that the solo duties in MSQ were too hard. As such the dev went with the standard baseline and just slap some differences in numbers for the super casual.

      @@coolyeh1017 ye I know the reason behind the existence of easy/very easy difficulty. Just wanna say that I know some purposely fail solo duty on their first try to unlock the easier modes.

    playing 16 hours a day is bad for you health, increased likelihood of sitting in the same position all day, risk of DVT, stroke, go up, caloric burn goes down, increased potential weight gain, burnout will effect mental health, not getting enough sleep so you can raid more effecting mental health and physical health, if you raid 16h a day you have 8h to sleep, and not everyone can fall asleep instantly so many will go without a full nights sleep for a weeK+
