Royal Princess is a cruising ship entered in service in June 2013 for the maritime company Princess Cruises.
The ship was built by Fincantieri at their shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
Larger steamer builds up to now in Italy, Royal Princess counts 1.780 cabins, with including 1.438 equipped with a balcony (81% of the total). By counting the crew, the ship can accomodate on its board 5.400 people.
On June 13, 2013, the steamer was officially baptized in Southampton by its godmother the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.Le Royal Princess est un navire de croisières entré en service en juin 2013 pour la compagnie maritime Princess Cruises.
La construction du Royal Princess a commencé le 15 mars 2011 aux chantiers navals Fincantieri de Sestri Ponente, à Gênes (Italie).
Plus gros paquebot construit jusqu’ici en Italie, le Royal Princess compte 1 780 cabines, dont 1 438 dotées d’un balcon (81 % du total). En comptant l’équipage, le navire peut accueillir à son bord 5 400 personnes.
Le 13 juin 2013, le paquebot a été officiellement baptisé à Southampton par sa marraine la Duchesse de Cambridge Kate Middleton.
Some will love cruise vacationing and others won't. Highly recommend you try it at least once to find out if it's for your liking or not. There are large variety of different ships that cater to different tastes so talk to experienced cruisers or travel agents to select best cruise for your enjoyment. Having sailed on Royal Princess ship, we found the ship almost empty a lot of the times...it was very relaxing...food was excellent and always plenty of talented live performers to keep guests entertained. This ship is ideal for those who enjoy relaxation, elegance, fine food, and experiencing the "romance of the sea" feeling. We also plenty of well behaved children on our Royal Princess cruise and they were always happy and having a fun time too.

nice video. i've never taken a cruise but i have to say the entertainment seems rather boring.
Thank you. Now I know that I would never want to take a cruise. It would be like being trapped in a mall for days with bad entertainment. A nightmare, not a dream :) Well, the violinists and cellist weren't bad.
***** There is far more to the experience then what you see here believe me. Princess cruises are more catered to the 50+ crowd, so alot of the events and such are toned down and more laid back. If you want lively action and entertainment go on a Carnival or Royal Caribbean cruise.
***** Of course you can look at it that way if you wanna be negative but sure. More for me! Wohoo!

Mattsana LOL, I wasn't trying to be negative, it's just the impression I got. It also appeared to be crowded. When I go on vacation, I like to get away from people, not be trapped with them on a crowded boat. To each his own as they say and I wish you happy sailing on your next cruise. Or should I say bon voyage?
***** Many new modern cruise ships are unfortuantely going to that direction of huge mass market with thousands of passengers. However there are a big array of options in cruising with a lot smaller cruises. I love the ocean and eating good food at sea. I never really care for the shopping onboard or the self humilition games like belly flop contests etc. I like good music and food while catching a nice sunset. And then spend the days ashore. Good mix of events in one trip :D
