- Two French tapestries adorn the cover of this folio style junk journal. Constructed using a cardboard box that has been covered with upholstery fabric, this romantic journal is chocked full of vintage images, ephemera, tags, booklets, tuck spots and envelopes. The shabby chic look of this journal is enhanced by vintage laces and ribbon throughout.

Hi this is exquisite is think the purpose of the tapestries are as table coverngs expecially the smaller side tables...

Just since you asked.....The faux tapestry that you found was big in the 1980s and into early 90s.... used as wall hangings usually, maybe cushions.
