No big news to report? Are you kidding? This month’s video was packed with so much interesting information that I’m I going to have to watch again! Thanks so much, it was great! Oh, and by the way, I went to the Elvis exhibition in London today and was blessed to have been able to hold Elvis’s gold belt in my hands. What a moment! It’s was so surreal, I can hardly believe that I actually did that! I’ll remember this day for the rest of my life! 😊 ❤

And you will see - when you click the video link - that I also witnessed visitors holding the microphone and the belt. I later spoke to a woman who was responsible for this White Gloves experience and she told me that it is for many fans a very emotional thing. To be able to hold a belt that has quite a history really is something for a lot of fans!. Elvis wore it when he was in The White House (visiting Nixon), and he showed it during the Madison Square Garden press conference. I hope they took pictures when you were holding these pieces. @ Emiel. Of course I saw your December 2023 News report and remember that you went to the exhibition. I’ve been to a couple of the exhibitions when it’s been in London in the past. But I must say, the exhibition set out this time was a VERY scaled-back version of what it has been. I’ve also been to quite a few of the ‘Elvis Lives’ concerts in years gone by. I was even incredibly lucky to have shaken Estelle Brown’s and James Burton’s hand when the original TCB band was part of the tour! But I must admit that I was a little disappointed with the concert on 31.10.23. I think there were some technical issues that spoiled it a bit. I don’t know if you noticed? I also find that the O2 is not a very good venue sound-wise. But back to the exhibition, perhaps you should come back to London and experience the ‘White glove experience’ for yourself. I got a lot out of it! 😊
I am thinking of coming back this year or next year for the Elvis Evolution 'experience'. But having said that: I am not a big fan of flying (to say the least). So maybe I will catch the show when it comes to Berlin (...as I can get there by train or car). Yes, I noticed that the sound was not top notch during the Video Screen Concert. My biggest problem with the concert was that when the show started my view of the screen was entirely blocked by the speakers! So everybody in my section (I was in the second ring) left their seats in search of a spot with a good view of the screen! I found it not professional that they even sold seats in these sections. The only good thing about it was that I eventually found a seat one row behind The Elvis Lass (!!), so we got to meet each other. That was really a funny coincidence. -- All the best. Emiel Maier.
Oh okay, that’s a real shame. Bad show on the organisers. Let’s hope the ‘Elvis Evolution’ project lives up to the high expectations! Do you think that Elvis, not even in his wildest dreams, could ever have imagined that in 2024, strangers from across the globe are ‘chatting’ together and are even recognising each other when meeting by chance, in his name, so to speak? I am not sure if I am going to use the complete clip as it is not specifically about Elvis Presley but about the music industry as a whole. The ELVIS in 'the Elvis act' is the abbreviation to Ensuring Likeness Voice Image Security. No, it depends on what the audience is. When I spin the wax at 1950s rock and roll / elvis parties, one of the most popular songs is the fast version of Ain't That Loving You Baby (which was released in 1985). It is a great jiver! If the audience does not consist of Rockabillies another floorfiller is Return To Sender. (It's got a great beat! A bit like Jackie Wilson's songs). A lot of dee-jays play it 'safe' by playing the well known songs, but I like to take a gamble once in a while. In that case I play "Let me be there" (!!) and the single version of Promised Land (...which is - in my view - ridiculously good!...).
Hi Rob, Thanks for the suggestion. :-) . The reason why I did not use the full phrase was because it would be too long. And because of the limited space (...the printer uses an A4 printing stencil... ) the lettering would become smaller. I decided to go for a bold letters. But there is an Easter Egg hidden in the design. If you look closely at the design (from top to bottom) you will see that the words ' ALL DAY' is visible in a slightly different color. So the phrase is longer that way without adding letters...: Happy Elvis Presley Day...ALL Day ! - Kind regards, Emiel

He has absolutely none of the charismatic personality as Elvis. Witness protection. Baloney. The only way he could be anything Elvis is with a brain transplant. I'm pretty sure they don't just put someone's brain in witness protection. FYI it's Spring Hill without an S. Its pretty much a blip on hwy 65, crossroad is 287 the church is east on 287.

Yes, those publicity photos were taken for the Hill and Range publishing company on August 15, 1955, so they fit in with this Lamar Avenue news item. At the time the photos were taken, they lived there!

When you are Elvis DJ the most popular song is ”A Little Less Conversation” to dance to?
No, it depends on what the audience is.
When I spin the wax at 1950s rock and roll / elvis parties, one of the most popular songs is the fast version of Ain't That Loving You Baby (which was released in 1985). It is a great jiver! If the audience does not consist of Rockabillies another floorfiller is Return To Sender. (It's got a great beat! A bit like Jackie Wilson's songs).
A lot of dee-jays play it 'safe' by playing the well known songs, but I like to take a gamble once in a while. In that case I play "Let me be there" (!!) and the single version of Promised Land (...which is - in my view - ridiculously good!...).
Emiel, just wondering why the T shirts don't say "Have a Happy Elvis Presley Day"?... which would have highlighted the song "Have a Happy"... 🤔

The reason why I did not use the full phrase was because it would be too long. And because of the limited space (...the printer uses an A4 printing stencil... ) the lettering would become smaller. I decided to go for a bold letters.
But there is an Easter Egg hidden in the design. If you look closely at the design (from top to bottom) you will see that the words ' ALL DAY' is visible in a slightly different color. So the phrase is longer that way without adding letters...:
