Let's be honest: Death Run is a completely different game depending on the number of people.
+LegoMinecraft369 Or the skill of said people. If the Yogs were any good at deathrun they would probably be beating the maps after a few tries. But getting good requires commitment and the Yogs would probably rather move onto other things rather than trying to learn deathrun.

The way that you finish with not a lot of runners is being good at bunny hopping
I used to play these maps about 7/8 years ago after school... there were always about 30 runners and 2 trap activators... and it was so much fun, I can't help but feel that it doesn't work with about 7 people with very little understanding of the strafing and jumping mechanics, they don't have much chance to finish most of these maps whilst playing properly. Fun to listen to though

It works better with less people if when the torturer presses a button they run to the end of the hall way and then can press another button just to give them some chances, like so they can see.
15:54 Actually, Lewis, that's an ankh; An ancient Egyptian hieroglyph that means "life". It's there to show you where to stand if you want to live.

+Redsta Admittedly, no, I haven't played it. But I have seen a least a few videos of it, and if you look closely you can see the raised strip right there where the ankh was doesn't go away when the pit opens. I think the way it works is the middle button activates the lasers and the side buttons each open a pit on either side.
I suppose it's entirely possible that the ankh wasn't put there for the reason I guessed earlier, but it'd be one heck of a coincidence if that were the case.
Splox5 My best guess is that it does what all lasers do and kill you, since it's a trap.

Source engine features some of the most in-depth jumping games (see GMOD games, CS: Surf, etc) - you just bad!
I've got thousands of hours on surf and bhop I found that pretty funny
