Something interesting to note: the gem collecting sound is more subdued in Spyro 1 as opposed to the more extravagant one in 2 and 3, just like the originals and despite being basically in the same game now. That's real attention to detail right there
With the more realistic animation and readable expressions, and the different, more personal designs, I feel the dragons are more likable now. I can feel how they truly count on Spyro and are eager to teach him so he will get stronger and become able to defeat Gnasty. Oh also I love the new "invisible barrier" effect. I was actually wondering what they would look like. It seems they didn't go with the usual "hexagon field" look everyone's doing nowadays.
I always liked the idea that in addition to a practical purpose (keeping players from going out of bounds of the level), those barriers had a purpose in the story, namely keeping Gnorcs out of Stone Hill, hence why we don't see Gnorcs there.
@@darlordthecynic ! ! ! This is my headcanon now. There was another level that did this, I forget the English name, something like... Town Cliff? Cliff Town? The Gnorcs were able to invade it since it was out of the barrier's bounds, but they couldn't enter the desert!
I think any of the adult dragons could easily stop Gnasty if they wanted to, but decided to let Spyro take care of it, as a rite of passage or something.
When I first played the original I always wanted to go past that barrier at 5:29 and escape deep into those beautiful green hills. I also wished I could build a house there and actually live in the game for the rest of my life.
I love Gavin. Something about a super buff dragon saying "when he eats butterflies he stays strong like me" is just the funniest thing. I also love how the disappearing animation is him kissing his flexed arms lol I adore the character/expression and designs given to each of the dragons, it makes them feel so much more unique on top of their voices. Just from the 10 or so seconds of interaction between them and Spyro, you can tell what their personalities are like.
Oh my god the new Spyro is so adorable. I cannot wait to play and see what all the villains look like. I'm seriously dying to see how they redesigned Ripto.
I love how unique the dragons look, what they are wearing and how they move around. It makes them feel more alive and these dragons feel like they are from the world they are named after. One is covered in paint and has a giant brush while another has tattoos. Some of the older dragons are hunched over or leaning on something.
Dang! They got everything spot on here!! I'm so hecking excited for the release, which I dont mind being pushed back. I'm so glad Toys For Bob has been so attentive and fan-centric through this process.
I love how the stone dragon appearance is reminiscent of the dragons in legend of Spyro. Also I’m sensing a hint of the crystal smashing sound in those games when you destroy a metal crate in this game. Very interesting
I love how a little drum riff is added for charging and the fluid dragon animations. I think of all the showcases, Spyro 1's levels seem to have the most marked improvement.
Can't wait until this comes out! Besides having wanted a copy of the original three games again anyhow, this looks awesome! Though...I do wonder now...did we ever get an explination as to where all of the female dragons have gone to? I never really thought about it before. This is what I'd love for a lot more old game series. Not reboots, but simply gorgeous updates like this. Braking the games out of thier old visual limitations, but remaining true to their spirit.
2 nice things I noticed here, the dragon statue jingle sound is perfectly identical if not exactly from Spyro 1. And Spyro does his lil tail wiggle when gliding like on the original also.
this has to come to switch, please let it come to switch, i have no issues playing it on my ps4, but nothing would make me happier than being able to play this gem of my childhood on the go anywhere i go
They really couldn't do much with the technology they had when the original games came out, so it only stands to reasons that the animation for the remastered games would be better. Still, I can't help but love the goofy voices and animations of the original game.
I love the dynamic sounds of the bongo-thingies (?) when you charge! Honestly, is there anything TFB haven’t thought of while developing this amazing game!?
Everything in Spyro Reignited Trilogy Looks BEAUTIFUL. ya I'm pre-ordering this. I hope these companies keep cashing in on this PS1 revival trend. I believe a remake/remaster of Twisted Metal 1 & 2 would be EXCELLENT if handled with the finesse that Spyro and Crash have been treated to.
PG, you and the Spyro The Dragon fan community out there should team up to make a complete mod overhaul of the fan-favorite Spyro The Dragon game, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, call: Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage 2 where Ripto wants revenge on Spyro for defeating him in Winter Tundra and this time he's got a brand-new evil plan so brilliant, so incredible and SO unbelievably sinister than any one could possibly ever imagine in a million years, it'll most definitely beat Spyro for sure.
Nice to see that after decades of mishandling the series, Spyro is in good hands again. If only the same could be said of Star Wars, The Terminator, Ghostbusters, and so many other franchises these days. Do you see social justice Spyro? No? Good! Doom is safe too, I suppose.
One thing that always bothered me about the other dragons, is that they're all bipedal, and Spyro is quadrupedal. Is this just an oversight? Or is Spyro deformed? Did he suffer some debilitating illness or injury that has forced him to walk on all fours? This is the deep lore I'm sure Vaati will be making videos about on release.
Logan Chitwood I think they did it to make Spyro stand out as different. I saw somewhere they were originally going to make him bipedal & an adult, but changed their minds. I also think they just made him younger so he’s not bipedal ‘yet’
I always assumed it was implied that Spyro is only quadrupedal because he's still a baby. If you look, he has thumbs on his front paws and not his back ones, which could suggest that he'll learn to walk on his hind legs once he gets older.
The delay was kind of a good thing if you think about it, because at least it wasn’t rushed out like “Enter the Dragonfly”, and at least they’re still making it. It could’ve been cancelled.
Something interesting to note: the gem collecting sound is more subdued in Spyro 1 as opposed to the more extravagant one in 2 and 3, just like the originals and despite being basically in the same game now. That's real attention to detail right there
Yeah I noticed that ages ago, it's awesome!! :D Spyro 1 wouldn't feel quite right with the louder sound and vise versa for 2 and 3.
Their shapes all match in 1 while the sequels show them with their unique designs as well.
blah blah blah. Where do you copy your comments? I can read the exact same shit below every other Spyro video
FINALLY! A SPYRO DEMO PLAYED BY SOMEBODY WHO SEEMS LIKE THEY’VE *ACTUALLY PLAYED SPYRO BEFORE!!!*
With the more realistic animation and readable expressions, and the different, more personal designs, I feel the dragons are more likable now. To be clear I was 12 years old at the time. But yeah, I'm 32 now and escaping in those hills actually still seems like a really good idea.
I know!!!
I can't believe they added a little ripple effect when you hit it.
There are ways to get around it in Cliff Town!
me too man.
I love Gavin. Something about a super buff dragon saying "when he eats butterflies he stays strong like me" is just the funniest thing. I also love how the disappearing animation is him kissing his flexed arms lol

Spyro: "Uhh sure."
Gavin is my favorite dragon
Anyone else get super triggered when you heard the egg thief taunting you?
i was ready to chase after him myself lol
Immediate flashbacks
Same my blood pressure went up lol
Yeah!
> War flashbacks running around Stone Hills for almost an hour...
Glad to have you back Mr. Kenny!
I just realized, the music changes when Spyro starts charging.
That's the dynamic music they've been advertising.
No listen to the music when he's just walking around and when he's charging.
Right. What you're talking about is called "dynamic music", or "adaptive music".
yeah! also when entering a building or cave, it gets slightly echoey, its amazing
Seriously guys, this kind of BGM on-the-fly mixing in video games has existed for decades. Little Big Planet had it, and that came out in 2008.
can we have PTSD warnings for those egg thieves? too many horrible memories
2:01 "No thanks, see ya!" 😂
This is bringing back too many memories. Has to be at least 12 years since I've played Spyro. It will be great to go back to it.
spyros character model looks awesome
I just witnessed perfection.
Gotta love Gavin! ♥
He's my favorite of the elder dragons in Stone Hills! :D
Finally! Someone who ACTUALLY charges their way through the level!
Oh my god the new Spyro is so adorable. I cannot wait to play and see what all the villains look like. I'm seriously dying to see how they redesigned Ripto.
Would be cool if all nostalgic games got rework like this.
Lindar has Super Saiyan Vegeta's Hair XD !
He also has Sportacus moustache and goggles. Omg!
he looks more like Doc Brown to me.
0:51 WTF! N. Tropy what are you doing here? get back to Crash Bandicoot series boi.
2:50 Brawn?
Exactly what I thought! XD
Chano Ripio its Braum, but YES!
*Cough Jak from Jak and Daxter cough*
This brings back so many good memories for me. I still have all three of that original games.

Missed opportunity: gavin voices gavin
Edit: the game still looks amazing, im glad they pushed it back for extra dev time.
I'm excited that the younger generation will get a chance to experience spyro like this. :)
I can't wait for this to come out. Will be first spyro I've played since it was out for Xbox

Oh, my goodness! That's so extreme!
It looks so good. I can't wait! playing through the originals currently to get prepped!
Can't wait to see the reignited Cliff Town, I always loved that level ;0;
Okay, Gildas is my favorite of the Elder Dragons. He has a giant paintbrush; artsy AF
The game just keeps looking better and better.
I love the sound the thief makes when he's defeated. Very reminiscent of the original

3:35 Kill the wizard! In HD!
Flashlight237 They’re call shepards but nice try tho
Hey, JoshJepson made that mistake, so...
Flashlight237 Ok
Flashlight237 I got that JoshJepson reference.
2:45 Dragon version of Braun form League of Legends LOL
Braum*
Fallen Paladin Oops, my bad
But where’s the shield?
This level brings me back so many memories :,)
Nice, there is a great attention to detail (and that's why it bothers me that all the trees are the same).
Why don't they make the demo publicly available? I would love to have something to play with while I wait for the full release
2 nice things I noticed here, the dragon statue jingle sound is perfectly identical if not exactly from Spyro 1. And Spyro does his lil tail wiggle when gliding like on the original also.
"This is the best remaster ever"

This is so cool and I am definitely getting this game.
A demo of Stone Hills? Did I just step back into my childhood?
I love how the gem counter is much faster here than in the original.
Anyone else upset that not all gems were collected? Super excited to play this though! The Spyro PS4 theme is my favourite theme of all time.
love how the dragons have more of a personality here than in the original games.

Anyone else in love with the pitter patter sound when spyro charges?
Jacksepticeye will play this. I'm to 100% sure he will.
and I don't care if he will
If he's able to get the other games downloaded he will.
vMMe well I don’t care that you don’t care
Krill Brother oh you really got me there that hurt a lot
It doesn't matter if he will play it. The most important thing that I'll play it.
Can wait to see Dark Hollow Reignited Trilogy
I love the dynamic sounds of the bongo-thingies (?) when you charge! Honestly, is there anything TFB haven’t thought of while developing this amazing game!?
The return of Gavin!
I'm relieved and excited at this games outcome. Hope it does as good if not better than crash they deserve it.
OK so I usually NEVER say shit like this but this games visuals and art are ORGASMIC! It also brings back find memories. Can't wait till it comes out.

Hope Toys For Bob's Developers could Toggle Spyro's Infinite Flight Ability

Or
It's how they could make the Speedway Levels more useful for Spyro where he can Upgrade His Dragon Abilities

The level is awesome, this rework is super promising. I hope the initial loading time will be significantly lower in the final version though...
Haedox will be happy about this...
Im in love with this remake
Is that John Kassir voicing the dragon at 1:47?
You UA-cam videos are amazing
This looks really promising. Hopefully it will be just as good as Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy when it comes out!
Hi Prosafe earlier then normal today.
This Is Where It All Started!
Sometimes simple vibrant graphics are just the best
This game has the graphics from the original game...
At least, that´s how I remembered back then.
was there a demo released or something?
Wow omg store hill level look awesome I can wait to play is level is spyro reigning trilogy I can wait #spyro reigned trilogy
They brought back the jump-charge...
I hope they brought back the dodge roll, too. They never had a dragon talk about that.
When he started heading back to the portal I was like, "He's not going to 100% the level!?" My OCD is kicking in...

It does a little bit, but it’s not Tom Kenny. Spyro is though.

Yes, Thank you for spoiling this for me by putting it in the thumbnail. Not like I wanted to wait to see it for myself or anything LOL amirite guys??
loove how they put more hills with castles in the background
This is just demo versions right? The title screen makes it look like its only got 3 levels for the whole game lol
I love spyro's new voice.
I like the new voice too. I still love the original's voice as well, but this developer has been doing this game absolute justice for the fans.
@@rykrdavidson3276 Yeah the original voice was great too.
Why so long, I was already looking forward to animal that it comes out next month. I have played these games again as Playstation one.
This remake probably has the record for most unique dragon models in a modern game. How many sets of wings, heads, feet, etc, did they need to model?
Good video!!!
looks Wonderful
I'm angry that the release date has been set for November! I was really excited to play this next month.
The delay was kind of a good thing if you think about it, because at least it wasn’t rushed out like “Enter the Dragonfly”, and at least they’re still making it. It could’ve been cancelled.
Now we need Ty The Tasmanian Tiger Remaster Set
I've never really played the Ty games. I mean, I've played very little of it, but not enough to really have an opinion on it. Is it that good? :O
OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! Those Are a Lot Of Male Dragons i Wish i Could Have Them All
Are all the dragons gonna carry items like a staff a paintbrush and all that
Lindar reminds me so much of the Collector from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Yo dude you the best
In original game when Spyro kills wizards with charge he is pushed back. It seems it's removed in remake...
