John Wick 4 Director Chad Stahelski Talks New Characters, Locations & the Future of the Franchise

- The man, the myth, and the legend returns in John Wick: Chapter 4, stuntman-turned-filmmaker Chad Stahelski’s latest installment in his lore-rich action franchise. Starring Keanu Reeves as the titular legendary assassin, the director informs us that Chapter 4 will dig even deeper into the posh underworld that deals in death and debauchery while maintaining a high degree of class, and adhering to a strict set of guidelines. From John Wick’s 2014 debut, each film has expounded on screenwriter Derek Kolstad’s universe of masterful assassins, revealing more about the fearsome High Table of crime lords, the killer safe space known as the Continental Hotel, and the intertwined lives of these calculating underworld denizens.
During his interview with Collider’s Editor-in-Chief Steven Weintraub, Stahelski revealed that John Wick 4 will be the saga’s longest-running entry, with “at least a third more scenes than the last one,” will take place across some of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes, and will explore some of John Wick’s familial past. The director also discussed filming in the Louvre, who Bill Skarsgård plays in the film, the experience seeing Donnie Yen and Hiroyuki Sanada in one-on-one combat, Clancy Brown’s “pivotal” role, what's next for Stahelski and more.

I also own the John Wick 1 gun (HK P30L(S for safety, so i can carry 1911 style if i like, or condition 3) im not a gun nut or anything but its the best out of 27 pisstols ive owned and operated. This is fantastic. Also a 4 hour version of John Wick 4 would be amazing!
I love listening to interviews of the people who are actually making my favorite movies. Hearing about the crazy logistics alone makes me appreciate their work even more. I have a background in events, but movie production (on that level) is a different beast. Steve does a great job with his interviews to show the complexity of a movie being made and i think that is very important work. If that much passion went into the building of a franchise, it should be understood and not just consumed. Understanding the development from several angles is just as entertaining as watching the movie itself imo.
Wow, I’m surprised Stahelski gave away as much as he did about the movie in this interview. That’s some bold confident move. Props to him for that. And kudos to Frosty for managing to get it out of him.

Man, I was hoping you'd ask him about Scott Adkins role in the movie. After seeing that he was entirely missing from the trailer, I'm starting to get a bad feeling. I'm really hoping that they gave Scott a decent role like he deserves. If they just brought him in to get destroyed in 30 seconds by Keanu, it'll really dampen my enthusiasm for the rest of the movie.
I think he is in the trailer. He's in a fat suit and pops up 3 times in the trailer. 🙄 I'm not 100 percent sure, but there are other people who think that's him, too.

I'd like to see CHADs version of THE CROW since he was once Brandon Lee's stunt double. To think of it....does that mean it could've have been Chad accidently being shot dead instead of Brandon on that unfortunate day?!

I will prove in court that Actor Keanu Reeves from Constantine and Actor from Keanu Reeves from John Wick are two biologically different people, two different actors. They've known each other for 30 years and it's their 25 year scam. They both have been working under the same name for 25 years.
