Conair Pro Infiniti Flat Iron Argan Oil infused is dynamite! If you only need up to 410 degrees, Remington Anti-Static is also perty good. I would hold off on buying a new iron now if you can, as stores are not accepting refunds on things they normally do because of COVID, even if unused.

I have the HSI straightener. I got it for traveling internationally because it is dual voltage. It's a decent price for being dual voltage and I think it serves its purpose! My hair looks nice enough on vacation and I don't inadvertently fry my usual straightener!

  • @beverlysimple411

This was actually helpful because I already own the HSI one. I can confirm everything you said about it, which makes the Conair one a clear winner, especially since it beat the Revlon that kinda of beat the GHD.

Thank you for this review. I have been hurting for a good straightener for awhile. I was very tempted to get the $280.00 ghd but the price tag and no temp control held me back. Personally I have very thick naturally curly hair, and I think the HSI works very well. One thing I noticed about this review is the plates of the con air iron are much longer and you were taking very large sections that I don’t think works with the shorter plates of the HSI. Having very curly hair I take much smaller sections which may be why I’m happy with the HSI. I’ve had it for almost 5 years now.

Do you use a heat shield?

I had that straightener! Idk why it’s so highliy rated. When you put your hair through it it snags some pieces. It’s not that smooth imo.

Yeah, I honestly think a lot of them are paid reviews...

Amazon reviews mean nothing anymore. I get emails everyday from Chinese sellers offering me free shit if I give a five star review.
People used to have to put a disclaimer on saying “ I was given this in exchange for an honest review” but amazon supposedly out a stop to these reviews so all that happens now is sellers offer you a full refund if cost if item after a positive review is left and now there’s no disclaimers.
First give away to fake reviews is loads of photos of the product in the packaging alongside a five star review.
I get these emails daily and report the sellers but when I look at the items there’s already hundred of people who’ve lied and given fake ones for a free item.

The flat irons I’ve used so far dry out my hair. So I prefer blow drying.
