I bought one of these six months ago and I've used it practically every day since in our Misericordia beach in Málaga in Spain. The waves aren't perfect and they're rarely huge, but I've been able to take advantage of all of them and my surfing skills and experience have shot through the roof. A lovely board and there's nothing in the review that doesn't ring true......
Thanks for your rider feedback. Its always great to hear what a longer term user thinks and feels. If you have 5 mins you could add your thoughts and feedback the SUPboarder post of the product on the site too. Thanks Reuben
Great review! I’ve been SUP surfing on an all round type board that’s 10’6” here in Sydney and love catching waves with it, but eyeing off the 8’11” All Wave as my next board for better surf-ability in the waves. Your thorough review has really cemented my decision to go with this board. Thanks
Just wondering......I'm 5ft 8" tall 85kg and have mostly been on boards around 9ft to 9ft 6" 31" wide, not sure of volume but i know the rails are fairly chunky, i consider myself towards intermediate, i've been supping for a long time but not consistently being in the water all the time due to working away at times, My ability has always been in waves around 2-3ft as , my ability is not what i call high performance so i would not push my luck with bigger surf.... Having said all that, I'm 56 years old this year and reasonbly fit and have spotted an 8ft 11" allwave forsale (2021), would this be a better fit for me do you think ?, or would i be better going for an 8ft 8" as reviewed ?????..... great review by the way
Hi Rick, thanks for the comment. I would say the 8'11 ticks all the boxes for you. If you're riding in smaller waves, then you want a little more length for added glide and paddle speed to catch waves. Plus, it always helps to have that little extra stability under your feet . Hope that helps. Cheers, Beau
Hey!! I’m 95kg and fall into the beginner/intermediate category for surfing. Currently on a black fin Isup and looking to upgrade to a “surf only” composite board. Would you recommend the 9’3 or 9’7 to allow for the extra bulk. Iv already chatted to my local shop who sell Fanatic but just wanted your opinion, before I buy the wrong one and slow my progress. Great review btw. Definitely sold me on this board, just want to get the right one! Cheeeeers!
Hi Justin, glad you like the board - we did too. The right sizing really depends on how you want to progress. If you're a complete newbie to SUP surfing and need to learn the basics, then the 9'7 is the pick. However if you have some experience int eh waves already, you will benefit greatly on the 9'3 as it's more compact yet stable and will allow you to work on turns and SUP surfing progression - even if it might be a little wobbly at the start. Hope this helps. Cheers, Beau
Great review. I'm debating whether to get the 9'3 or 9'7 or the Starboard Wedge 10'2 I saw on sale. I've surfed prone (longboard) years ago but never SUP surfed. I'm 51 yr old SUP racer that's 170 lbs./78 kgs. Thanks in advance!
Sorry for the delay on getting back to this. I feel you will be ok on the 9'7 or 10'2 is you want to get on the waves early the 10'2 would be better but if you want a more lively board the smaller 9'7 is good one. Not sure if you are a SUPboarder pro member but this test would be well worth a watch supboardermag.com/2022/09/03/wide-body-surf-sup-board-test-2022-supboarder-pro-head-to-head/ Starboard and All wave do well in it. Thanks Reuben
Hi I am getting into surfing on Lake Erie and have been surfing an Isup. I am looking for a decent hard board that will work in most conditions and the type of waves at a Great Lake, generally smaller. I am also a smaller female under 135 pounds. Would you say this board is a good fit or would you recommend something else? Thanks!
Hi Ashley, thanks for the comment and question. The All Wave could be a great first time hard board as you transition from an isup. It has great glide and stability too for a board under 9ft, so it is a great option. A Naish Mana could also be an alternative, but it depends how you want the board to feel. If you are wanting a little bit more manoeuvrability on the wave, then the All Wave would be the pick. Hope this helps! Cheers, Beau
Hey I love your videos!! I have been looking at going from isup to hard over the last year. I've had my eye on the 8'11 all wave, I'm about 5ft7 and weigh about 70/75kgs I live where the swell is small most of the time I have spent the last year really working on my surf technique so feel its time to get a new board. Any suggestions on size would be great. Thanks in advanced
The 8'11 All Wave would be perfect. Great choice. I'd stick to around that 9ft mark, but if you can get your hands on an 8'11 All Wave, you will be ripping! Good luck! Beau

Good explanation and honest review. The head to head comparison with the Allwaves competitors on Supboarders website is really outstanding. Thanks.
great review. i bought one last spring. everything you said is spot on -especially standing on the tail for turning.
Such a great all-round board! Thanks, Beau
