Cincinnati is one of the most underrated cities in the country imo… River, hills/bluffs, old architecture, breweries, distilleries, chili and a blue collar atmosphere. Glad the trail captured some of that. Great day & vlog. Thanks as always for sharing
What a sad, terrifying day that was for Kentucky. 13 tornadoes and I think 5 people died. So glad you were somewhere safe. The map of the center of the target area I sent you on IG was def off… further south than they predicted. We were dodging tornadoes here in Tennessee that day too despite a beautiful sunrise and a beautiful first half of the day.
Would have been funny if you'd broken out of the shrubbery right into the midst of a youth soccer game with a bunch of suspicious soccer moms giving you the side-eye. 😅
I snorted at "scared the everlovin' hashbrowns out of me" Especially given recent outside shot of McDonald's LOL Oh and I actually recognize something since I have been to the Cincy ballpark! But our game got canceled.
I see you passed by the Krohn Conservatory. It's a shame you didn't get the chance to stop in. It's one of my favorite spots in the city. If you do ever get around to the Buckeye again, or are just in town for whatever reason, you should definately check it out.
This was such a fun video for me... I recognized almost every place you showed us. I live three hours away from Cincy but have a college buddy who lives in Covington and I have visited many, many times. So glad you got inside in time!!
Just the one song by them but I have a number of others by wigwam and similar folks with a high tempo. Tends to support a faster pace in the morning along with the coffee
Great job power hiking through Cincinnati and getting to your hotel before the bad weather hit. The Indian food was much deserved. Sorry you missed Skyline chili. I have a friend originally from Cincinnati that says it’s a must try when in that area. Maybe when you and Jen do the Buckeye trail. -Geo
love that you got to see some of the graffiti in that storm drain. there is about a mile of it on both sides and the local artists regularly update pieces. one of my favorite spots to go for a quick walk in the city.
There is another trail you could have connected called the wasson way trail. I ride this area from little miami, head to the murray path like you did. Then, from redbank Road (end of murray), there is a nice switchback that starts wasson way and takes you near xavier.
If you haven't seen the knees over toes guy on UA-cam maybe you should sneak a peak. Just walking 400 yards backward on a track each day has helped me. With as much exercise as you've done, I can't imagine you've got problems with ankles or hip flexes but he will show you exercises for the whole leg.
@@FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes Cool...I guess that means next time I come across trash in the woods I can leave mine since its already trashed...love it!
If you want to see more of Ohio, you could turn the Buckeye trail hike into a figure 8 by doing the Ohio to Erie Bike trail from Cincinnati to Cleveland in the middle!
Great videos. How are you recording your audio? From your earbuds or directly to the phone. Sounds great and I’m curious to know. Keep crushing those miles.
It's a good thing you missed the Skyline chili. If you're not used to it hit can hit you kinda bad. I'd hate to have had you stuck near an outhouse for a few hours.

One of my favorite episodes yet! Nice hustle! It would have been awful to get caught in that storm on the Roebling Bridge!
Watching this 3 months later realizing you walked right past my house in Eden park! Would’ve loved to have you. Safe travels
Congrats on finishing the Buckeye and getting to shelter before the hail. Good video. Good Luck, Rick
Great one !! Finally Kentucky and the end of the Buckeye . Great timing and way to celebrate it . Keep it on.

GREAT timing! Beat the storm and celebrate with Indian. Way to go! Enjoy the brief sojourn into Kentucky and good look back in Ohio. Hike on! Tortoise
You were sporting the full on hiker trash look with faux peed pants 🤣 Always feels great to just miss a storm 😎✌
There's nothing quite like that feeling of victory when you beat the weather.

Hey Matt, good timing! That storm brought us large grape size hail, with chunks of 5 or 6 welded together. Glad you were under cover!
Way to blaze it Matt! Congratulations Indeed 👏
I've never been to Cincinnati but it looked nice. Congratulations on the excellent timing!
The Buckeye looks surprisingly appealing. Hell yes to Indian Food. Congrats on a new state!

So you hike to a Dragonforce soundtrack. That explains a lot. 😄 Just step in time to the kick drum and you'll finish the trail tomorrow.
Just the one song by them but I have a number of others by wigwam and similar folks with a high tempo. Tends to support a faster pace in the morning along with the coffee
That was the Roebling bridge in Cincinnati. John Roebling built that one before building the Brooklyn Bridge.
What great timing :) The urgency came across pretty well in the video, good you're safe.

Skyline chili is a culinary abortion
nice tour of cincinatti, gorgeous city
Whew!!! Glad you made it.
Well I think you need to switch from coffee to a 3 cups of adrenaline in the morning.

Talk about TIMING!!! 🎉😂❤
No rivers on fire in Ohio. That's a plus.

Alexa play "I'm a Ramblin' Man" by Waylon Jennings
I’ve been preferring Walking by Mark Shiiba lately

Great timing! Hopefully I will never have to sit on that couch you sweated on 🤣
It’s a hotel couch. I can pretty much guarantee it’s seen soooooooooo much worse

So been watching your vids trying to catch up and you literally just walked down my old street. No idea I lives on the trail lol

I’ve seen enough of your videos I should know but do you use a gimbal or stick when you are recording? You only use your phone to record right?
Just my phone held in my hand. The iPhone does a decent job of stabilization without a need to hassle with anything like a gimbal
Nicely done.Plenty of privies at Great American Ball Park!
Go back and get some skyline!
Great videos. How are you recording your audio? From your earbuds or directly to the phone. Sounds great and I’m curious to know. Keep crushing those miles.
Just direct from the phone. It actually sounds better that way than when I’m using my headphones mic
Thanks, another good video. ✌🏻👊🏼

I’m usually more worried about walking through neighborhoods and having something like that hit me…
touchdown!
"up for" lol
Day 54 of watching. The Bishop of the First Church of the Masochist is crushing today. Your camera seems crisper and clearer as well. Hmmmm
If it is ever smudgy, it is usually due to humidity. It gets hard to keep the lenses clean.
I also wonder if the subject matter impacts? Thus far you have been filming greens and the forest. Being in the city, different shapes and colors?
Don’t eat the chilli
