@@comffamy 2 week phase has been going strong by just adding mods for the atmosphere, like new animals, lots of birds, bugs, more biomes, farming and cooking mods (farmers delight family basically), plus mods that make annoying tedious things slightly less annoying and tedious. im playing in 1.19.2, but most of the mods im using are available for 1.20.1 from what i know its almost more like a vanilla+ which i find really enjoyable and it can be much less overwhelming than a large modpack when youre just coming back to mc
I only discovered you today with this video, but already you are a top Minecraft pick for me no matter what my mood is! You give me calming, restful Bdubs energy that I love so much and I’m so happy I can get more of it in this pretty overwhelming world. This video was a very welcome surprise for me. You're one of my favourite builders and I've been wondering what kind of stuff you'd build in a survival world but i assumed that you were a creative-only player. I loved the episode and the house you built and i like watching people go through the early game and see how they approach it. Awesome idea with the raft - that's a pretty unique way to start the game.

i always complain about only finding two diamonds early game but i just realised that you can make an enchanting table with those 2 diamonds because of this video, thanks!
Fantastic first build in your world! I would say, it would be helpful to know your thought process when adding the little extra details on the outsides of your house. Like why use the mud brick walls instead of another block, how did you come across the idea to accent it like this, etc. I loved the blueprint that you made of the house before hand and knowing how you do the little accents would help my own building a ton. Thanks for the episode!

Hope you don’t mind the long comment. I’ve seen several amazing builders but this really stood out to me. I think you did an amazing job on texturing. Just enough to catch your eye and make the build really shine without it being really messy. The light brown and light pink blocks (can’t name them off the top of my head) go amazing with the white. I’d say the real appeal to this build is the interior though, everything works so well. The bamboo contrasting with the green and the detail is astonishing. I’ve recently been working on trying to improve my interior building and I think I’ll be taking some tricks out of your book. Hope you don’t mind!! Not many people catch my eye but I’m definitely excited to see what else you build in this world.
I started a creative world a few days ago and I already built some stuff and a pretty big main house that I’m still decorating. Seeing this run-down cottage inspired me so much and I’m definitely taking some of your both indoor and outdoor designs because they look amazing! I might be able to improve on the main house too! Subscribed! I don't know why I had not already done so. Very much looking forward to more episodes in this series. Taking the slow approach to Survival worlds is my favorite way to go. I start with a small shelter, usually a cottage, with fenced areas for protected crop and animal farming. My general rule of thumb is to avoid crafting anything until I need it. It's better to retain basic resources, I think - you can't unmake most things. The first iron items I usually craft are shears, a bucket and a shield - the shears for wool and a bed or two, and the bucket to get crop farming started early. I frequently get new ideas for my building from your videos, and this one was no exception. I am looking forward to using them in my next Survival world. Thanks, MrMattRanger! Keep up the good work.
