I found this video very useful , thanks alot , i give thanks , past four day stressing over hazard lights and indicators , im going to look for the switch around my car breakers , thanks alot again
I really appreciate you going to the trouble to post this information. It really helped me find the issue with my turn signals and emergency flasher not working. I have a 1982 240D Mercedes, 4 speed straight shift. In my situation, the flasher just in front of the gear shifter in the console was bad as was the orange emergency flasher switch in the console. Mine uses the 3 pin flasher. Picked used parts from my donor car (1983 240D automatic) and all is bad to working. I had looked for this flasher for more than an hour when I found your post during lunch. Thanks so much!
In my case (240D 1982), I pulled the relay out, opened it and cleaned it with WD40, let it sit for 2 hours and installed back. Works like charm, but for how long, wait and see. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Very helpful video. I have 1984 Merz 300td. The turn signals are not working but emergency hazard light is working. Do I have to change the relay or hazard flasher switch? Regards, Takuya Sent from my iPhone
Sir, an excellent video. I wanted to ask, so that I know for sure, what switch I need for my 1979 240d. The signals work once in a while, then don't at all. Fuses are good and contacts are clean on them.
Hi there! great help man, you're video helped me ALOT to get through the maze of diff ones, now i have the correct model hazard relay for my 1979 300cd, like the big one in your vid, now,.....do you have a wiring map/diagram you can post? where do the 7 colorful little wires go onto that swine? thanks Duke!
Hi Richard, I'll see if I can figure out the wiring this weekend for you. By trade, I am in the Real Estate and Construction Businesses and am not a car mechanic, but will take the time to help you figure out the wiring schematics for you. Thanks for the post.

Hello, where is the relay of the flashing lights of the Mercedes Benz 380 SEC W126 - 1983? Thank you

On my 300D, it was the flasher relay switch that is on the center console near the shifter handle.
