- This Otis elevator was installed in 1927! This is a great hotel, so much better than the big chain hotels - full of character, everywhere you look there is something interesting. It looks like a really well put together museum (and it also contains a museum!).
It's just because only people over 16 are considered sensible enough to not stick their fingers through the gates!
yeah it was a very good, it mentioned the museum and featured The hotel inspector in the Elevator!

I have a similar lift on my channel at Clare's in Llandudno, it's a gated ECM (Etchells Congdon and Muir) Lift and has lots of character despite a recent modernization that has had all original fixtures replaced. I still think you should check it out though. :)
