I’m from California but went to Utah for the first time last year (St George area). One weird thing I noticed at restaurants is no one ever finished the food on their plates or took food home. Like NO ONE. That’s something I’ve only ever seen there

Very interesting, I’ve never heard that before. Thank you for sharing! I lived in California for four years, I can’t imagine how expensive things have gotten since then. What did you think of St. George Utah?

They usually are pretty prompt about bringing you your check too because they want the turn over where a lot of other places i went i had to ask for one

Salt Lake has turned into a joke, a quick search on Zillow shows that with very very few exceptions (Hawaii, California, New York) you can find much more house, nicer finishes, nicer yards, and more space in other states for the same money. Utah has been completely ruined by overdevelopment, greed, and the influx of people. It was a nice place before

Thank you for the input! I think a lot of people would agree Utah has become more expensive in recent years

@@SLCRelocationGuide Well more expensive is a given anywhere, but for Utah it's completely out of control. Half a million buys you a fixer upper from the 80s in dangerous awful West Valley City. We definitely have a serious problem unless you are sitting on a mountain of equity, and even then who wants to trade 2% for 7%.

Salt Lake..in comparison to a decade ago i'd say no, Utah as a whole, i'd say you could still find some affordable places but you'd have to be in some pretty rural country. My house doubled in value in 5 years before i sold it. I wouldn't be able to buy it back now if i wanted to.

@@zr2ee1 the market has definitely appreciated and Salt Lake City over the last few years. Affordable is a relative term of course, there are still some great areas where opportunity exist.
