Amberjack 77lbs jigging - Penn Spinfisher V 5500

Segundo día de pesca en Sal, son los primeros 10 minutos de la jornada y recojo bastante rápido, se nota que acabamos de empezar y aun no me duele nada, cuando me paran el jig y algo se zarandea sin mucha contundencia al otro lado...tarda unos segundos en darse cuenta de que algo tira de ella y en demostrar de que pez se trata y como de grande va a ser. Hasta la fecha, es la serviola dumerili mas grande que jamás pesqué.
El amberjack es mi pez preferido, le tengo una estima especial, es combativo en todo momento y aparece en cualquier mar de la tierra.
El equipo que utilizo no es especialmente potente, pero si lo suficiente para frenarlo y subirlo a bordo.

Reel: Penn Spinfisher 5500
Braid: Duel Hardcore 8x 50lbs
Leader: Duel PowerLeader 70lbs

Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.

I bought the Slammer VI 10500 last year and its a beast. Holds a ton of line and 50+ lbs of drag. can not go full drag on stand up in the boat though. tried it and almost pulled me over.
