Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.

I bought the Slammer VI 10500 last year and its a beast. Holds a ton of line and 50+ lbs of drag. can not go full drag on stand up in the boat though. tried it and almost pulled me over.
Im in Florida, and we catch many AJ. They're not a popular fish to eat. Like Kavu Kavu or " Bonito", they're a Great Fighting Fish. But, you're just throw it back...Good Fun.
The Daiwa BG is an affordable Daiwa range and therefore will not be as robust. The Penn Spinfisher, is a very hard and very cheap reel. I would definitely choose the spinfisher.
@@DanyBigGame i already bought spinfisher v5500 but i wondered if i made the right choice, i didn't bought the new spinfisher vi because it does not have the slammer drag system , thanks for reply
kouki_tv The spinfisher VI is lighter and has a more progressive brake than the V. Perhaps it is not as powerful as the V, but the fact is that the V was too powerful to brake, so much so that when fully closed it would break any line you put on it. Penn has removed the V brake system to reduce weight and to achieve a more suitable brake.
Fernando yo usaría el 4500 de Slammer o del mismo spinfisher. Tienen capacidad para meter 250-300m de 0’21-0’23mm que para combatir esos peces es suficiente ya que no necesitas frenarlos en pocos metros.
verga the Spinfisher 5500, in both V and VI versions, is a great reel. If you are going to fish with lines of more than 50lb, I recommend the 6500, since it has more line capacity. It also depends on the depth at which you want to fish. 6500 can fit 300m 80lb, 5500 can fit less than 200m 80lb.

RcBullShit Tica JS-GA165S de 150gr. Spinfisher V is very powerful. The VI is powerful but smoother and lighter. I am changing all V for the new VI. Thank you!
RcBullShit The V brake is more powerful, the VI brake is more progressive and smooth. V weighs more than VI, around 10-15%. The brake power of the V was perhaps even absurd. With the brake fully closed on a 3500 we had more than 18kg of real brake and with the brake of a 7500 closed butt, with a jig encased at 60m depth with 100lb braid and fluorocarbon, it could break everything without having to hold the coil with your hands.

With the brake fully closed on a 3500 we had more than 18kg of real brake and with the brake of a 7500 closed butt, with a jig encased at 60m depth with 100lb braid and fluorocarbon, it could break everything without having to hold the coil with your hands.
