That was a great video. Also, at the end when we could see for just a second the comparison of the size of the collie to Brocci. It seems to help in the decision of what size to paint a picture.

Wow, your art is so amazing, I admire you a lot! Quick question... I’m trying to understand if the number of the pastelmat pad means something that has to do with the surface of the paper, or if it’s just about the paper colours... could you maybe help me out? 🥰

As far as I'm aware all the Pastelmat surfaces are the same so it might refer to colours. I don't buy it in pads so I can't confirm this. But there are not different grits of surface like some of the other papers.

I wonder if the UArt 600 or 800 would have been better for you to get softness in the fur? I think the fineness of the tooth on those papers reduce the amount of pastel you need on the paper in order to achieve the blending you need. This was a great video. Thank you so much.

I'm not as keen on UART as I love the softness and layering capabilities of velour. I also like Pastelmat but there is no better paper for softness than velour. I'm only applying thin layers of pastel but I like to layer up lots of colours and find that UART is not as good at this. I have still to try the 800 though, so I'll experiment more.

Thank you! It's hard to get noticed on here these days. But although my early videos are from 10 years ago, I only really started working on my UA-cam around 3 years ago. It's doubled in the past year, so hopefully moving in the right direction. All promotion and recommendations welcome though :-)
