Worldwide havent been like that and dont think "its ok" cause it works for some. Due to starting lifting weights again,my shoulders too stiff to keep my underarm level lol. But I adjusted. Hate it, used to be better with the underarm beeing perfectly horizontal.
Haha Rogers always interupting lol Grest vid! Been fovusing on where my elbow is recently while practicing and trying to find the sweet spot! My problem i think is overthinking but will give a record and see if that helps me sort it out! Harder when u dont have someone their pointing out your form issues! Cant wait foe the next vid cheers from Canada🍻
That first position is almost me., My elbow moves maybe an inch when I throw, something I've got used to over time. I've got time to have a try the proper position and see if I can adjust to it. Thanks Wayne.
Great info. Especially for the new darts player. No doubt practice is vital for success. I catch myself drifting to the 'just throw' position. But, one has to concentrate on that elbow to get better and with intentionality of each dart, you will.
Helpful video but I am confused what Roger was doing wrong. It was making me laugh by the end. Can you name it anything? Maybe Fenton would be a good name?
Thankyou this is working for me I'm already noticing better quality and I can throw any # dbl,T,single whatever with the same movement. My forward leg does get soreness but I've been spending much time on the board
How can just working on my elbow position possibly have an effect. I`ve been playing 6 months and have a 50 average. Tried this elbow thing and went to 60 average. Cheers Wayne. oh yes and two 17 dart 501s in 10 games
It just goes to show how much concentration is needed in this game. Things like this separates the pros from the rest. Constant rehearsal in keeping a straight elbow.
I recorded my throw and I basically throw with my elbow out it’s weird because I can hit 140s 180 and high checkouts just not very consistent. Avg is around 55-63
I love this new series! It's fantastic how you break down the darts throw in it's different components! Thank you so much! BTW, greetings from the House of Darts in Rodgau, Germany, I think you know it :-)
Just stumbled on your vlogs out of frustration with my game...following your guide I realised how rubbish my technique was. My technique is now starting to feel right & im enjoying darts again. I will keep working on it. Thanks Wayne.
Nice throw. For the life of me i cannot turn my forearm straight up and down. It pulls on my shoulder too much. I have to have a 15/20⁰ angle into my face. It is what it is.
Cheers Wayne (& Roger). I'll have a look at this one later. Me thinks this is a big one for me as I often feel myself pulling across when throwing. 🙈 Really appreciate these Wayne. Top man 😉👍🎯
Thing is, I'm left eye dominant; right handed. I've filmed myself and I throw from my left eye. Doing it your way feels really uncomfortable. Is there anything you can advise. Thanks
Hello, I watch your youtube videos with interest. my question would be about dart selection. Many companies have a lot of arrows.. I am thinking of making a dart field for myself at work. to spend my free time and improve myself. How should the primary dart selection be? Should I choose a straight long dart or a short bullet-shaped arrow? What should the weight be? Would you have a chance to mention a few inexpensive models that you can recommend?
I am right handed, left eye dominant. I spent ages worrying about the effects, trying different stances, throw styles etc. I researched for hours on many forums You know what I realised in the end? It doesn’t matter, throw how it feels natural, the more you worry about things like that the more inconsistent you’ll play. Darts is so much about feel. You know how a dart should feel in your hand, and you know when you’re comfortable. Find your natural style and build on it There are a few top level players who are like us and they don’t drag the dart across their face. Some pros throw from the side of their body and don’t use their eyes at all, they use pure hand eye coordination and muscle memory Forget eye dominance, we’re not all Bobby George 😂
Hi Wayne, really enjoying ur videos. I have a question for u . . . Is there a technique that i could use to stop my arm coming back to face really fast as i am settling up the dart. Thanks 👍
Hey Mr. Mardle, thanks for all these videos to play better darts, I try to use your tipps in practice since a few days know and today I achived to hit 3 Bullseye filmed by Handycam. I never achived that before. Thank you Hawai God 501.
Can you do a video on dartistis, I'm not a good dart player but I wasn't this bad say a month ago! I had my average up in the mid sixties now I can't even get it to 50 over say 10 legs. I use to think you had to have been a good dart player to get dartistis but even shit players get it too, any ideas on how to over it?
What would u say for a right handed player that is left eye dominate? Throwing from your right eye when u are right handed works but should you throw more from the middle of your face?
I too am right handed, left eye dominant. I spent ages worrying about the effects, trying different stances, throw styles etc. I researched for hours on many forums You know what I realised in the end? It doesn’t matter, throw how it feels natural, the more you worry about things like that the more inconsistent you’ll play. Darts is so much about feel. First of all: Nice video, thanks for that. This is, like your other videos, really helpful and informative! Im pretty frustrated in getting my throw and stand like I want to. Right now Im 23 years old and I play Darts since I can imagine. Now, since 2-3 years, Im playing in a Softtip League, since this season, one under the highest "Bundesliga". Many people tell me I would play so good and Im such a talent and blah. I mean, its nice, but they dont see the issues I do. My left foot isnt stabilized and I cant fix it because my right knee is hurting all the time I try to change. My release is too late which causes me to throw a lot of 5 and 7. My average should be between 60-70. I rarely train because of the lack of time, but I do play 2 times a week. My problem is, that I dont know what to fix first. I cant fix everything at once, it feels wrong, but what would you, Wayne, or you other nice guys, say, is the first thing I need to practise on? The stand? The release? Imma bit frustrated because I know I can do alot better when I fix this. I even got second in a german championchip. There must be a guideline for improving my game without trying to fix everything at once, but I cant figure it out. If you read all this, thanks for listen to my complains, haha. Have a wonderful day.
id say work on the release, without a good release it dont really matter where you stand, but i dont know? maybe your just overthinking it all, darts is so mental, my game has gone from 60-70 to 30-45, purely because i over think everything i do, down to the grip of the dart, sometimes my release dont work at all and i throw a dart 4 ft off the bottom of the board. i know i have the ability to throw good darts, but the mental side of my game is completly shot away. but the worse i do the more i think about it, just spirolling out of control.
i would say start with a good stand...if your knee hurts and you keep changing how you stand so it does not hurt your release will not matter to the overall consistence...the same goes for a wobbly stand (bc of your pain)...find a way to not move around while not hurting your knee and start from there focusing on your release. pro tip: record yourself while you throw and analyse it yourself...i think your will instantly SEE (not feel) what is wrong with your throw or if you are even close to being consistant ;) i hope this helps
Nice tutorial again Wayne , I’m having troubles lately while throwing my dart sometimes I punch my face with the flight and then my dart slips won’t even hit the board sometimes .. can you make a video about that please , love your tutorials keep the good work up!!
sounds like your pull back is too fast so you are decelerating in the actual throw. Also release smoother, sounds like you are snatching. Full follow through doesn't mean you have to throw really hard or fast.
Has anyone every watched darts worldwide, he brings his darts across and is still a great player
Charlie McGovern
Well... look at john henderson!
The guy from worldwide is brilliant makes it look so easy
Just because there’s an exception doesn’t mean it’s the right thing todo.
Worldwide havent been like that and dont think "its ok" cause it works for some. Due to starting lifting weights again,my shoulders too stiff to keep my underarm level lol. But I adjusted. Hate it, used to be better with the underarm beeing perfectly horizontal.
@@MetalJuggler yeah Wayne literally says it's fine if your timing is good. If it's not, you'll struggle more than you would already
Great videos, Have you got any tips for a right handed left eye dominate throwers
I second that. I have heard both theories. Eye dominance doesnt matter and that it does.
Thanks for the lesson Wayne, keep them coming! How about a lesson on the mental side of the game, coping with pressure and bad patches?
Yes I can throw 140s a 180 here and there then the same person watching me plays me and bam 45 26 why do I change what I was just doing
@@johnbrackettii9468 I would ban that person from my games :D
Cheers Wayne helped me heaps

Class in your day pal. Nice one for the tips
Any tips on throwing with torn bicep or anything to wear on my arm/shoulder to help Wayne ?
I've recorded myself front on. And it's nothing like this lol.
Thankyou this is working for me I'm already noticing better quality and I can throw any # dbl,T,single whatever with the same movement. My forward leg does get soreness but I've been spending much time on the board
I just did this and I noticed a massive improvement just by bringing the elbow in, however it feels strange and hurting a bit..
Hi Wayne, Shane Crook here. And thanks to this video I’ve moved my right elbow for the first time in my life. Cheers mab
Love your uploads! your' my fav. commentator.
Absolutely class all theese videos
Think thats were i been going wrong thanks wayne
ive heard saying raise arm up with bicep not shoulder
Great stuff mab
Great help
Joe Cullen indeed throws like that
My biggest issue isn't so much side to side, it's that my elbow rises on my drawback

I like to imagine that the roger you keep shouting at is chizzys manager roger
It just goes to show how much concentration is needed in this game. Things like this separates the pros from the rest. Constant rehearsal in keeping a straight elbow.
Very nice video thank you. I would like to ask what is this program counts the score?
Simon Whitlock is a big fan of the moving elbow before release.
Would you always aim the dart with your right eye? I start from nose. Is that something to work on?
Dammit Roger!!
Good video, unfortunately Roger was trying to ruin it for us
Thanks
I find that I get a lot of pain in my knee from my stance, how can I beat this??
Same man after about half hour my knee starts doing the shimmy🤣
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

We call it "delete the unnecessary biomotoric axis"
Cheers #damnuroger
If I have my elbow in I hit myself in the face before I go to throw
Poor Roger.
Sake Roger🤬🤬😂😂

Hello Wayne, what if you have opposite eye dominance to your hand?
What dart board is that
Do you lower your elbow aiming at the tripple 19?
you are the man *****
Cool stuff honestly it helps me every time wayne tnx m8.
Thanks Wayne, yours lessons have helped me immensely.

just went round the board in 12 sets of 3 after watching this vid. Previous best was in 17 sets of 3. Praying it wasn't a fluke😅
I've been having an aching shoulder from the follow through which I guess I'm pushing too far. These vids are a great learning tool.
You should have taken some of your own advice as you ain't won shit! Oh Gary Gary !!!!!
