I have chosen His name as mine for the Confirmation. He is a person that we all should look up to, if you are Catholic or not, there are some people that in the midst of evil shine as the guiding light for humanity. Thank you for introducing Him to many more people. Thank you again.

@@terrybardy2848 hi Terry. God bless you for all the pain you’ve been through. I’m glad you found inspiration from the story of Saint Maximilian Kolbe. I’ll pray for you but mostly I want you to know that the true definition of forgiveness doesn’t entail that you forget about what happened to you, pretend it never happened, leave aside your hurt and anger, or many of the other nonsense things we have come to believe. True forgiveness can be found when we realize we are all sinners and we wish the salvation of those who have sinned against us. It shows true forgiveness and love when we wish forgiveness and salvation to those who have harmed us those most. Those who don’t deserve it. Because that is what Jesus did for us. And just like Jesus, Saint Kolbe, in his last act before death, raised his hand in the sign of the cross and blessed those who injected him with acid to kill him. He forgave them.

They told me to learn English and preferred that I had that as a first language but would still speak their native tounge with themselves... But I did learn some yiddish only taught me that one... How cruel the Germans were. You are aware that the winner gets the say in what happened, right? Are you aware how the Germans were treated, soldiers & civilians along with children? Or is that justified because you think they were all so cruel? Why is it all of these stories that inspired movies & books are proven to be false yet every time another one pops up it's never questioned, in fact some countries will throw you in jail for it. The truth doesn't need laws to protect it. Anybody with common sense can see there's obviously more we're not being told.

The story is out there, why do you think you've never heard it before? Could it be because it doesn't show the Jew as the victim? Could it be because it shows a man of true faith? This would be distasteful to the atheist Bolshevik communist. If you don't know who they were, that information is out there as well.

@@chuckrobinson599 Yeah...no. The truth is much simpler - history is so complex, so extensive that you cannot know everything. Earlier today I was reading about Josef Mašín, a well known national hero of my country, who fought and died during the WW2. And as much as he's known and admired here...I really doubt that anyone abroad ever heard about his story. And that's not because of some Jewish, atheist or bolshevik propaganda, but simply because we're not capable to know every person who gave his life during that terrible war. And let's be honest, while the average American won't probably know who was Maximilian Kolbe, the average European won't know who was John Adams.

Fuck you for saying that Maximilian Kolbe is a hero, and I am not ashamed to say that I hate Maximilian Kolbe for saying turn the other cheek in the face of the SS Nazis, and I have way more respect for those who are not about to turn the other cheek to say Happy Birthday General Dwight David Eisenhower who was also a great 20th century president! Eisenhower was a far better man than Kolbe, because he condoned violence against the SS Nazis, and those who sympathized with SS Nazis!

I am quite familiar with the story of Maximilian Kolbe, going back to when he was canonised in the early 1980's, but this is the first time I've heard of the statue at Westminster Abbey. I'm very impressed by that too, and by the other statues they mentioned - Dietrich Bonhoffer and Martin Luther King.
