Thank you so much for this video.. I have made so many storage trays, general, watercolour and polychromos pencils, A4 filing trays, a nail bar and still have more in the planning. Brilliant video, Thank you again
Oh, Sam, I L O V E your tenacity (!!), of which I have bloody little! However, Iike you, I SO need compartmented storage, so I took a “chip board” (pretty much your “gray board”) desk organizer I found at a U.S. discounter (Tuesday Morning), and added M A N Y small boxes to subdivide the compartments that were already there. I’ve used rectanglar ones; the square ones from the Vick’s VapoRub product and makeup boxes; I’ve even wrapped bathroom tissue paper tubes in printer paper and fit them to the task, which, in truth, gives a few more tiny spots to put oft-used slim items that might otherwise get lost among “the many” slim items. Thank you, Sam, for this vid as well as your many others. They are a treat! P.S: I SOOO much prefer this style compared to the lazy-susan kind.
The ones in the shops don’t even come close to be half as nice as yours. OMG……. I will make mine to fit the length of my desk. Maybe in two sections and place side by side. This is going to be a fun project to use up some of those " bits & pieces " that seem to ALWAYS be left over! 🥰🤗🤗🤗
I love this. All your videos are wonderful. The cards with all the interesting and beautiful folds. I am a big fan. Thank you for sharing your talents. 🥰🥰🥰
Wow, just amazing! Looks fabulous, yes you could buy one; but why would you when you can make one this nice and know you made it, with Sam’s help of course! TFS! xx
This is fantastic. A question though... wouldn't it be easier to cover the chipboard before you cut all the pieces and just leave the edges bare for gluing? Or would that make it harder to glue everything together? Thank you for sharing... it seems beautifully engineered for its purpose.
I absolutely love this I’m going to make a few for my big sideboard I can keep everything in it’s place then and not in my ikea tins I can’t wait to get started thank you Sam ❤
Fantastic! I have always wanted to know how to strengthen the joins and you have taught me! I will be starting on this tomorrow…. Bought gray board from Amazon about a year ago then got intimidated. You have reinvigorated me! Thank you!
Hey Girl … did you give it a go? I’m always so short on crafting time, I’ve made do with a box to which I’ve added many smaller boxes to maintain the kind of organization Sam’s made in her dandy project. I’ve even used bathroom tissue rolls, as even the tiny spaces between those have allowed separate “compartments” for my oft-needed slim items (a fav pencil, my die pick, etc.). Enjoy your new year, Karen, whichever direction you take!
wow you've inspired me so much in the past few days I've been super busy making these. Ive made one the same as yours and then a slightly smaller one. oh wow your right I don't know why I didn't do this earlier. Its going to help me with my you tube videos too, way less editing and it should make the process easier Thanks so much !!
That is one of the nicest caddies I’ve seen! You did a brilliant job! Very straight forward instructions and very adaptable to anyone’s taste. Thank you for sharing!
Thats such a great idea for all our bits and bobs Sam. Something i could really do with too. I can never find anything, because our house Gremlins disappear things, right in front of my eyes. 😆 If i had something like this, things i use would have a spot to go. No more saying, 'now where did i put that'...i know I'm not the only one doing that. 🤪 I really liked the papers you used. The colours were lovely, especially with the added sparkle. Hehe, i love a bit of sparkle. Its a lovely project to do. Thank you as always Sam. Xxx
Thank you for this video Sam. I've made toolboxes and rubbish bins out of corrugated cardboard (shoe boxes) but I'll have to try the grey board. Really like your desk caddy.
If you’re into recycling, you might also consider cereal boxes. They can be layered up to be more substantial. Also, the “economy size” ones from costco are beefier and a bit larger than grocery store ones.
I really needed this in my life. Thank you so much. I’ve bought several containers over the years, but nothing was perfect for me. Now I can make my own for all my needs. You’re the best.
I'm embarrassed to admit how much money and frustration I've wasted in my search for the perfect desk caddy. Despite all the 3D projects I make, it never occurred to me to make my own 🙄. Thanks for another great design, and hope you have a great New Year!
Thanks Sam, I really love this project and, as always you make it so easy to follow. I'm definitely going to have a go at making myself one. Thank you, Karen
Thank you so much for sharing Sam this is something I know I need damn in my craft room and it's so pretty to be able to organize herself and be able to work from it it will save me a lot of time looking around for a while until things I love your DIYs you're one of my favourite I pray you have a great New Year and looking forward to all your new DIYs in 2022 God bless you my dear friend
Very nice. I added this to my playlist. Do you have a video for makeup storage? I'd like to make my daughter one for her brushes, palettes, eyelashes, etc..
Thank you so much for this great tutorial. Your ideas are so awsome. I got to making it directly and will finally be able to declutter my workspace. Have a great start into the new year. I already look forward to what you'll come up with next. 🤩🤩
Another fab tutorial, it's given me an idea and I will be making this one too. I'm off out later to find my signature paper. Thank you again Sam for such brilliant inspiration.
Go for it! I’ve an idea, but it would use a LOT of double-sided tape. You could glue papers to each of the dividers, leaving “tabs” on three edges of each side. Then, carefully slide the divider into place, and gingerly peal the tape backing off to adhere the sides and bottom of the divider. I can’t say I’ve ever done this but I say this having watched a wonderful lady some time ago put together ink pad storage using foam core and self-adhesive aluminum FOIL duct tape. The dear lady’s name is Leslie Bockenstette (I’m sure the last name is spelled wrong 🫣) and, sadly, she has died 🙏 🫶 . Anyway, do check out her video, and give it a try. I do wish you all the best!
You are always so clever, Sam! This desk organizer is so practical and so darned cute! Very much you with those colors and the shiny and the glitter. Thank you for showing us how to make this, I want to make a little shelf unit for my desk to hold all my many Tim Holtz mini ink cube tins and this gives me some good ideas. Please tell us how Nan liked her wreath box with the goodies in it!
Hiya Sam, just ordered my grey board and this will definetely be my first project in the next year. Can I do the drawer storage as well with grey board? We are in a lockdown and all stores are closed. You showed us a nice photo of your mam and grandmother, I really like that. Wishing you all the best for the coming year Sam and I hope we see a lot of your new tutorials. Greetings from the Netherlands, thea

This is THE best storage box I have ever seen!! And I have loads of grey board! Thank you!!
You are so welcome!
Lovely. You make it look so easy. Patience is the name of the game.
I don’t know how you do it … you are a genius when it comes to all of these great storage pieces & cards! I love it!
The ones in the shops don’t even come close to be half as nice as yours.
OMG…….

I’m going to give this a try. It makes your tools readily available to use
Thank you for sharing, I will be making a smaller version. Such a handy little organizer.
Omg I love it when you build these things I always make it once I’ve seen you give it a go you explain everything so well!
TFS! xx
Such a great idea but looks a bit hard to do make. I may be brave and try this it would be great to have for my crafting supplies.
Sam, I would just like to thank you so much for this tutorial, I made the organizing over 2 days and am thrilled with how it turned out.
Wow, Denise … What ambition! Puts me to shame for slacking off when I know how much this would improve my organization!
This is fantastic. A question though... wouldn't it be easier to cover the chipboard before you cut all the pieces and just leave the edges bare for gluing? Or would that make it harder to glue everything together? Thank you for sharing... it seems beautifully engineered for its purpose.
She added reinforcement paper and then painted it as a base of white behind the patterned paper. So, no, that wouldn’t really work.
It's a lovely organizer, thank you for sharing.
I absolutely love this I’m going to make a few for my big sideboard I can keep everything in it’s place then and not in my ikea tins I can’t wait to get started thank you Sam ❤
Hi Sam

This is definitely pop a well liked movie on and create project!
This is a brilliant idea. I have a small cosmetic lazy Susan that kinda works, but when I rotate it, things inside catch on other items on my desk
Fantastic! I have always wanted to know how to strengthen the joins and you have taught me! I will be starting on this tomorrow…. Bought gray board from Amazon about a year ago then got intimidated. You have reinvigorated me! Thank you!
grate grate ordiniser. I plan to make it. thank you!
I made something like this for small paper scraps, and put them only if they didn't measure higher in width,
Going to give this one a go. Wish me luck, Sam you make it look so easy.

Great idea.
I need this so much so thank you for bringing us along. I can't wait to make mine. I can't find the tutorial on your blog though.
This is great!! very useable handy storage! I wonder if I could decorate it prior to assembly??

This is absolutely perfect for craft room storage. Great job Sam! I just wish that thick A3 sized chipboard were easily available in the US.
Have you tried Hobby Lobby? Back by their Framing Dept. I’ve seen pretty substantial pieces. You might check them out.
That looks perfect and such a useful piece of organisation x
