Tbh Dillon's iq is great but he has his moments. That play b4 half was gonna be a pick no matter what but prolly wouldn't have been a pick 6 if Tez didn't fall og
Yet another game where it felt like we played down to their level. Who knows how good this team can be because I dont think we have seen them anywhere near their best standard. Also, what has happened to Dickey? Feel like I heard heaps in the summer about him and then havent seen him targeted (or maybe even on the field?) at all this season?
Most of the comments make me laugh! You can tell that most of these clowns don’t watch football in general, just the Ducks! NO team plays a perfect game! EVER!! Mistakes are made, hopefully corrected during the game and good/great teams win and move on! Not Bama or Georgia or Ohio State is ANY different from Oregon! Sometimes sloppy, sometimes not, overall, this team is improving weekly and getting better each time they take the field! Take away the bad pass/pick 6 and a missed PAT and this game was virtually flawless. We even dodged a bullet on Ferg being seriously injured! Come on Duck fans, we should be better and more knowledgeable than this!
Oregon needs a dominant win over a good team. It’s what the Ducks are missing. That said, I like what I’m seeing from Dillon Gabriel. He could get it done.
We should REALLY push to scoop him up for his final year if he decides to hit the transfer portal at the end of the year. He would absolutely THRIVE with this oregon offense.
UCLA played so dirty man and I loved Dillon getting in ba’s face then when traeshon was clearly down then got facemasked and horse collard🤣 he chased the guy all the way down
unlike most fans I don’t mind BA taking a lil bit and that hit was not even dirty in the slightest, he hit tferg with mainly all arms and shoulder. DG was the one that put tferg in that position to begin with by throwing that hospital ball.
22:07 Thank you for the way you explained the Bryan Addison situation ‘EA CFB encouraged to transfer’ . I always wondered what happened there. Also kinda made me laugh 😂
While the game was never in doubt, Oregon’s offense can’t have a repeat of the second half going forward regardless of opponent. The defense is legit. They’re playing at a consistently high level regardless of how the offense performs. Easily the strength of the team.
Sort of confident. We shall see. Cautious and optimistic about our future. A lot of great things, but wonder if the issues will make us freak against the big games.
if DG leads Holden on that deep shot it’s a walk in TD instead of 1st and goal. The pick 6 never happens. Also did y’all forget Tez missed I wide open psss on that trick play? That’s plus 14 for Oregon and minus 7 for ucla on those two plays alone. I know we want the team to play to their standard and they definitely didn’t in that second half. But by no means was this a bad game.
If the running game could take it up one notch and Stein play-calling doesn’t kill is, we’re golden. O-line is now playing well. Passing game is solid. D is great.
Something just worries me about this team still, haven't played a full game of complementary football. Lots of execution issues on the offensive side still. Defense played well though. But man, I'm guessing most people saw that Alabama vs Georgia game and I can't help but think that Oregon just is not playing close to the level of those guys. Last recruiting class and this recruiting class will definitely help, but the ducks have not played to a championship caliber. I believe we are close, but we need to start playing to our talent level.
To be fair, Lanning is still building a program. The program is on schedule, but it won’t be fair to judge Lanning’s work until 2026 or 2027 when the five stars and the load of four stars from the last two years are starters. At that point his ability to put an elite team on the field can be judged. Until then, any successes are an indication of things to come. He clearly wants to build through high school recruiting but is stuck filling holes until the previous classes mature and see the field. There will always be holes to fill but far fewer. FSU built through the portal and look at that mess. Ole Miss just fell flat with the same formula. It’s very difficult to build a national contender through portal acquisitions. Objectively, no one has figured out how to do that yet. The October 12 game will be interesting from the perspective of which team is more cohesive as they are both put together in a very similar way with the difference being the opponents defense is less portal heavy.
Oregon dominated the first half on both sides of the ball. As you said after DG threw the pick six it just seemed like things weren’t the same. On to Michigan State though.
I’ve heard you make the TFL, and sack comment before, but I still don’t understand the issue, because they are separated. The sack is a sub category of a TFL. And when you look at the stats for Oregon vs UCLA, Birch had a sack and two TFL’s, meaning a TFL, and a TFL/Sack. A perfect example would be, a sack on a QB, and a tackle on the RB right when he gets the ball from the QB, if they are tackled in the exact same spot. The QB tackle is a sack, and the other doesn’t have a sub category name, because it’s not as “important” as a QB sack TFL. The only difference in this scenario is, the QB handed the ball off, and if he hadn’t, he would’ve been tackled in the exact same spot. Same result equals the same name-TFL. But to make people happy, they started counting sacks in 1982, since stats are important.
Spence, the defense gave up 6 points...the offense is not there yet, but it is getting better. Next week's opponent, Michigan St should show a measuring stick against Ohio St who beat them 38-7.
Hey spence, do you think if the shoe was on the other foot, Oregon would of been hit for targeting if our safety hit their tight end like T.Ferg got hit?
I have concerns about Nikko Reeds consistency in pass coverage when he’s out there. He has moments where he’s good but then he has games where he’s constantly giving up passes. Garbers was only able to pick on Reed all night. Nikko might be a weak point, especially against those Ohio state Receivers. Nikko led in tackles cause his receivers kept catching the ball.
Save a single screw-up at the very end of the 1st Half, the score would have been 35-3 and nobody would be worrying about what happend after. However, only scoring 6 points in the 2nd Half should be of some concern. Did UCLA make adjustments that Oregon couldn't? Apparently.
Besides oregon state, feels like the ducks just lose focus for 10-15 minutes every game. Not saying I want 30+ point blowouts every game, just feels sloppy. Is it weird I’m worried more and more that we’re not quite up to where we should be vs Ohio state in 2 weeks ?
That was not a clobbering. That was another demonstration on how poorly performing this team is. This should have been a 65-6 game, but the Ducks decided after that pick they were done trying
People are overreacting way too much with this. The offense didn't play great in the 2nd half - had some explosive plays and a great drive to start the 4th to blow the game open. But the game was never close, and UCLA was never back in it after half. Their offense was doing NOTHING. They had no offensive TDs on the night, couldn't move the ball consistently. They were 1-10 on 3rd down. Let me say that again...1 for 10 on 3rd down. We played a subpar half of football, in a LATE night road game and there was zero chance UCLA was in that game. If you're overly concerned by that, well, maybe go take a Xanax to cool your anxiety. Not every game is going to be 200% and a 60 point blowout. But we certainly dominated them in that game, as we should have.

Play calling yes no good, but they had 1 punt and a pick 6 which was because of a receiver slips. It’s a unrealistic expectation to think if we don’t have 7 or 3 the offense sucked ass
James ran over 100 yards and team ran for over 150. Gabriel threw for 280. Here’s the thing, comparing this team to any other team is a fail. New year, new team, equals different outcomes. Still undefeated.
