Thats at least 7 people in 5 days that have died in Rips in FL. I'm so afraid of rips that I constantly check the water before going in. RIP to all the ones who've drowned this past several days.
We were there on vacation and saw them pull him from the water from a balcony. Everyone on the beach stood there just stunned. I myself was caught in one between Sunrise Beach resort (where I was staying) and Sharky’s a day before but managed to get out of it. RIP to the 5 victims over that weekend and my condolences to the families.
People dont learn , that couple with 6 kids just did same

People are paying with their lives by assuming the flag system is a suggestion. My children and I barely escaped that current once.
What is more crazy is that the video they are showing that is not the rip current. It’s in between the waves breaking I learned this from surfing so I don’t have to fight the surf to paddle out to the sandbars!
Why aren't life vests mandatory for swimming in the ocean? Flags and signs are not enough! Florida needs to do better to protect tourists! Water safety should be paramount!
The Flag system is on every billboard, hotel, condo, beach access it is everywhere and if someone cannot swim why are they going out swimming! 🤷♀️
Because people wouldn't wear them anyway. The flags have been up at every single place where someone has drowned this past week and people have ignored them.
Because the entire coastline can't be monitored. Natural selection.
How much more do they have to do?!? If life vests were required, people would bitch & gripe & do as they want anyway! People are responsible for their own safety. If people wish to go out, they’re gonna go! Be RESPONSIBLE! But there are always those who think it’s not gonna happen to them.
@@sharoncruzen1942 you are exactly right. If people followed the rules ,we would never have drunk driver rated deaths or gang deaths or overdose deaths or drug addiction. The point I'm making is that since the garden of Eden mankind has been breaking the rules and there will always be people who do. It's not up to society to babysit us , we have to help ourselves too. There's absolutely no way to keep people from their biggest threat ,which happens to be themselves.
