Already have all but the last 3. Chained Echoes is one I definitely need to revisit. Not gonna lie, the Kabob optional fight at the beginning just destroyed me, getting obliterated by a bunch of veggies was a hilarious struggle I'm fine with admitting I sucked at 😂. The overdrive system is strange though, it can be a huge detriment at times, maybe that chsnges later on but so far it really hurt me in the combat as at times you're forced into making a bad move that would otherwise make no sense to make just in order to lower the overdrive meter back down some. If anyone else has played it more I'd love to know if that gets better further on. Moonlighter is excellent, I ended up enjoying the shop mechanic more than the dungeon diving towards the end, just seeing how dumb rich you can get is a fun time and trying see just how much you can markup prices before people get pissed is also funny. I just wish it was longer, that said I need to get the dlc just for that reason. Trails to Azure is classic trails that has a great story to get caught up in. Octopath is awesome nothing more need be said. Sea of Stars is probably my rpg hidden gem of the year, I for one really enjoy the combat and really like how they made it semi-active turn based by timing some of the attacks & blocks, that was a great idea that breathes new life into the genre. Need to check the others out at some point
yea, the combat quickly became unfun. The aesthetics and soundtrack is what kept me going to finish it, everything else about it was really bad,.. especially Garl... went from fun and likeable to annoying and mary sue -_-.
Meh...except cross code and moonlighter which are fast pace, the rest is turn base, and me dont like it.😅 but i heard those games are amazing in the turn base jrpg style tho. And actually i liked the 1rst paper mario, or at least the one on the n64, i dunno if it s the 1rst one.
I wont recommend Eiyuden on switch. Bought it and regret. Crash alot lag etc. you cant save for a long time and then crash on some circumstances and have to fo back like hours before the crash ….

sea of stars was fantastic but the combat eventually just felt repetitive and I was ready to for it to end

Are these your personal favorites or are these taken from a top 20 list?

Several aren’t 2D. 2D would be OG Final Fantasy 1-6.
First like 😅😅
Wanted to say comment 😅😅😅😅
