Great video. Mouse keeper here with tips. Deer mice such as the one in your video, can be released outside but only in warm weather. Releasing in colder months is basically A death sentence because they have no food stash or winter nest set up to get out of the elements. This takes many weeks to accomplish. So either wait till trap or overwinter in a mouse proof set up such as a tank with a weighted screen lid. House mice are non native and don’t do well outside. They are used to interior terrains. So release should be like an unused building or barn.
I have to mention that if you use those, or any sort of trap that catches them alive, you have to check the trap frequently - they will die pretty quickly if left in there and you have to be on top of it.
I used to glue trap today get rid of a mice problem I had. The poor animal ripped its fur off to try to escape I have never in my life felt so disgusted in my self for deciding to purchasing that horrible inhumane torture device. I wish I would’ve seen this first.
Totally humane solution that works to discourage mice and rats from entering... peppermint & cinnamon oil but has to be the right variety. This one works great and available on Amazon. Lazy Cat Rodent Repellent
I think glue traps should be banned too. They are so cruel! I know mice are considered to be "vermin" but they are still sentient creatures and I don't know how it is legal to torture ANY animal! FYI: If you ever come across a mouse in a glue trap...such as I did years ago in the basement of my building...you can put cooking oil of some kind, eg. vegetable oil, olive oil, whatever - put a little of that around where they are stuck and use a plastic utensil or something to gently help pry whatever is stuck off. IT WORKS - I did it a few times and they were fine (I let them go in my yard!) After that I proceeded to pour oil on all of the traps thinking I could avert the trouble to begin with, but my super came knocking and asked if I knew who was doing that. He was pretty upset. Of course, I said no. But he stopped putting them down! Over the years various exterminators have put those traps out. I always squish them shut or throw them out as soon as I see them. DON'T TELL MY SUPER ABOUT THIS! haha
I use a trail camera and find the mice climbing over and around this kind of trap they work at first but don't ask me how they learn what is safe and what is not
My mom absolutely hates mice so she uses glue traps. Well today i found a mouse stuck on a glue trap and i felt sorry for the mouse. So i tried to free it l. It didn't work so i had to through the mouse off a 8 foot clife. I felt so guilty. I hope the mouse dies soon or finds away to get unstuck.
If you believe in Jesus' teachings then ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ as the He preaches. That little mice didn't get unstuck, it died slowly and painfully. Would your mom like to be trapped in a glue trap? Don't think so. So stop using those disgusting glue traps and go for a cheaper, more humane, better option
Some big warehouses, supermarkets, department stores use glue traps and then would dip them in boiling water to loosen the glue from the mouse feet. It's very cruel.
What a great way to catch snakes food thank you so much I’ve got a heap of snakes and baby ones hear to I think I’ll use your trap idea what a great idea thank you My snacks will be very fat in no time LOL

Thank you 🌸🤍🕊️
What a nice video, thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Will the mice survive winter weather? I don't fully understand this video as far as shipping tape. The cube must be placed near a wall it seems?

@@dajapa exacly!
Use oil to get it free. But do not use glue trap in first place

@@dajapa he or she didn’t choose to but their mother did but you have a point
