@@tomyangnet Kind of. I wish they had done the driveline as well in the 250 GTE as they did in the Lusso. At 60+ mph the Lusso just runs more smoothly, but alas, they are all old cars. Still love my GTE.

Beautiful clip. I've been a Ferrari fan since I was a little boy, and while I like a 599 or a 360, they never had the same attraction to me as the earlier models. The 250 family in particular. I am not wealthy enough to afford one, but seeing the cars that as a boy I only got to see in pictures in your videos makes them a lot more real.
All Ferraris intrinsically have an attraction but the older cars seem to have more of an appeal to me because they were made by a handful of people in Maranello to support Enzo's racing passion. They're also mechanically simpler (though advanced for their time) so there's more communication between the driver and the car. Modern cars do what they do so well, they barely need the driver! Thanks for watching.
Another great road video, love the sound of that car; makes me wish that we'd had UA-cam back in the '60s when I was reading all of the road tests for these lovely cars! I had to let my imagination do the work instead. Nice roads too - we've got miles of relatively deserted roads in my neck of the woods but they are not quite as smooth as these, and are frozen stiff for over five months a year - and with all of our wilderness, if you do mess up and go off road it may be a while before somebody finds you...
It is so nice to take your subscribers along on these rides. The roads are great in your area. Do they use salt in the winters like they do in some European countries?
Unfortunately they do salt the roads here in NY as I live inside a swath of the US called the “Rust Belt!” I wait well into Spring after a good soaking rain before taking the valuable cars out. I convince myself that it’s nice to rediscover the car every Spring instead of driving the cars all year long!
Happy spring Tom. Really enjoy your videos as they supplement your normal content so well. Have had the 308 out several times as well. The NE winter was kind to us for a change! Are you still located close to Peter Sweeney's place?
Since I have an opportunity to take these cars out on a regular basis I might as well share in the enthusiasm! It can sometimes be a chore, but if you guys like it, I’ll keep shooting them. Thanks for watching.
@@tomyangnet Certainly will. If you are on facebook and wish to share any of your videos featuring Italian Cars please feel free to do so. I would welcome it
I often do. It depends on the car. Some mechanical pumps can keep up with fuel delivery but with hot days an alcohol in the fuel, vapor lock is common.
@@AB-80X not if your needle valves inside the carbs are doing their job by shutting down the fuel flow to the carbs when the floats reach their limit. The mechanical pump is constantly pumping fuel to the carbs at the same time, and would do the same thing if the needles weren't working correctly. I just run the electric pump on hot days to avoid vapor lock. On my 330 America, I find anything above an 85 degree day, my mechanical pump vapor locks.
Lovely drive.
Beautiful roads and scenery up there. Reminds me of the roads in southern PA and Delaware where I grew up.
The roads are nice as long as they’re not snow covered!
Just great honest intertainment from Tom, thank you for keeping doping these Thing. ( sorry for poor danish-english😊 )
Thanks for the support! I hope to keep it interesting for the future, so keep watching!
250 2+2 , 330 2+2, 365 2+2, best Ferraris for all time for week end driving
Lots of room, glorious sound, and nearly the same experience as other Vintage Ferraris that have 7 figure price tags!

Hopefully will be doing the same in the Daytona this weekend. Must remember to charge up the go pro's to record some of it too.
I’ve got a Daytona just waiting for me to get her out for a drive, and a 330GTC, and a 246GT...stay tuned!

Great sounds!
That sound was probably what hooked me years ago to buy a Vintage V-12 Ferrari no matter what it took.
Nice!
Do you run with the Autoflux on?
I often do. It depends on the car. Some mechanical pumps can keep up with fuel delivery but with hot days an alcohol in the fuel, vapor lock is common.
@@tomyangnet But isn't there a chance of overfueling and washing down the cylinder bores when you have the Autoflux on?

I own a 1961 GTE #3043 so just curious.
