I did it by using (2^5)(2^7 -- 1)(2^7 + 1) = 32(127)(129)
Your final calculation is easier, but 2^5 and 2^7 are easily recognizable as 32 and 128, respectively.

= (2^20) / 2 - 32
= [(2^10)^2] / 2 - 32
= 1024^2 / 2 - 32
= (1000 + 24)^2 / 2 - 32
= (1000000 + 48000 + 576) / 2 - 32
= 1048576 / 2 - 32
= 524288 - 32
= 524256
