So WipEout has called at least two things now ... or well, sorta, but you get the gist: - The UK leaving EU via Brexit (UK leaves FEISAR, an EU established team, in order to form Icaras) - Outbreak and lack of crowds / the implementation of crowd avatars in some sports and events (The "Basillico" incident)
@@TornaitSuperBird Another would be Paris Hair from Pure, which predicted Blackpink. And yes, Spilskinanke is spelled correctly. It’s set somewhere within the San Andreas fault in California.
Welcome to Estoril: *Some say that Estoril is a Portuguese race track, raced by drivers. With the futuristic designs added on the track, probably became the best circuit. Ayrton Senna is the winner of the Portuguese Grand Prix in 1985, but in the future, the Portuguese circuit came here and the sunny weather never stops.*
Had to come back to this vid after what happened in Basilico sort of happening in real life as well, with F1's Bahrain GP decided to run without spectators this year due to the Coronavirus outbreak
So after all, racism is still a realistic concept in the WipEout universe, just proves that not everything is utopian after all. Or maybe not racist eugenics, perhaps more of “transhumanism”, given the futuristic timeline, with something similar to that of what happened to Skye Larsen in Watch Dogs Legion, where she wanted for “humans to be uploaded into the cloud” so they could “live forever”, but this causes actual consequences in which this could lead to cruel exploitation and experimentation. Another would be the idea of cybernetic implants similar to Cyberpunk, where the human body is no longer sacred, it’s profane.
I love this game, But the thing that's been bugging me of late is the phoney "foreign" accents dotted around the track comments, depending on what weapon(s) you pick up like shield which comes out as" sheeeatt", or the ever popular rockets which translates as"grockets", or turbo which to my ears sounds like "bluto" have a listen, it's comical & maddening at the same time.

Technically 3
-Brexit
-Coronavirus
-The minimalist movement
Not everything in WipEout is completely utopian after all.

Edit: Vertica as well.
The whole series is effortlessly cool

Sounds like something Murray Walker would say in Studio Liverpool's F1 games on the PS1
@@milktar2182 Yeah. He would have been in a WipEout game if he became a commentator during a race.

Except that the real-life incarnation of Basilico, Canada is the Earth.
Had to comeback here a year later just to say that almost every single racing series in the world had their races turned into Basilico now 👀
@@yuanedo795 the circuits must have lost so much money from not being able to make any money off of spectators
And Las Vegas GP brought me back here.
Neat; thanks for putting those into a single video :)

Could you, please, make a video with all voicelines of ships and etc?
I am not sure if I am hearing Colonel Radec or Cabal (NOD) in this video.

No it sounds like Infinite from Sonic Forces
Infinite from Sonic Forces or was it G Major 16
Reminds me of CABAL from Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun.
That effect is G Major 7

The voice of Piranha's onboard computer says "Turbo" as "terrible".
That's our perception of foreigners' accents speaking our language in a nutshell.
