I've lived my entire life listening to and loving heavy metal and hard rock. But I also love well-written and beautifully played music. And that's why, as a metal head, I love "Start Over." The Maids are brilliant musicians who write compelling music - and if they are going to branch out and try other genres, then I'm here for the ride. 🙌🙌💕💕

    音に余白がある分リズム隊のセンスの良さがすごくわかりやすい。
    小鳩さんの歌詞も安易な言葉を使わずにオリジナリティーのあるラブソングとして完成されてる。

    • @stiff2077

Are you saying this isn't favored by fans because it isn't a metal song? or? I'm out of the loop on maidiacs lol, Found them a couple years back and downloaded everything and wen't though all of it, And LOVED like everything I heard. As a musician myself these girls blow me away. No NOT just the guitar, No not just the Drums, Wait OMG the bassist is amazing also, Every One in this band brings pure talent and creativity to the table. If what you're saying is true, I fear it's just youngins tbh. You know how they have to pick and choose whats cool or acceptable, Just how it is unless someone is guiding their music and teaching them to appreciate and play music for themselves. I certainly don't limit myself, but I've been around a lot of influence on different music genres throughout my life. But there was still a short time in high school that I was in a phase and only cared about Metal Or Hard Rock lol. And It's actually a small regret I have to not play other music around those times. If they remain fans years from now, they will come back to this song and find it may be their new favorite. idk. But yes it's sad, some people care too much about being cool and standing for something that only hurts themselves XD Just enjoy music guys, It's like one of the only few good things about being here XD

    • @Parker--
      @Parker-- 2 роки тому +7

Ryan! Don't forget about the rest of the Maids! Unlike similar songs, they're actually playing their instruments, and not just once then looped ad nauseum. It's what makes the song feel alive rather than fabricated. It's the subconscious recognition of authenticity that makes it stand out from its stylistic peers.
Take a subgenre or style, then perfect it on the first try. It's the Band-Mad way. What makes a Band-Maid song isn't a style or particular sound, it's the perfection and attention to detail far more intricate than has any right to be that is hardly if ever matched (and occasionally add a bridge that is so good it should be a song itself.)

The talent in this band all around is amazing, and they work perfectly together. Saiki's powerful voice is amazing, Kanami's skill on the guitar, whether shredding solos or playing riffs throughout the song to mix it up and keep it interesting, Akanes powerful driving force on the drums, Misa's amazing jazzy bass playing showing so much skill and last but certainly not least, Miku providing a solid rhythm guitar keeping the whole band together and providing a solid core which, without, it just wouldn't be the same. Surely, each on their own is not top in their field, although some come close to it, but they are in my opinion the band which works best together.

This song definitely hit me a bit differently, got me fairly emotional. A lot of people commented on my reaction to this saying they weren't a fan of the "soap opera" video, but it didn't bother me at all. It touched a nerve for me.

    • @Parker--
      @Parker-- 2 роки тому +1

Jake! I don't think anyone could have made a more appropriate video for this song no matter how hard they tried. Yes, it hits all the points for music videos of this style of music and you know what? It does it perfectly. The director and editor and everyone involved _nailed it._ People are wrongly judging it based on personal taste rather than craftsmanship. They don't care for the genre, so they hold it against the work. It would be like someone going to see Love Actually or some other romantic drama and saying they didn't like it because it focuses on a romantic relationship. Well, yes, it's Love Actually, it's a romantic drama, so it should focus on a romantic relationship and that shouldn't be held against it when judging the quality of the work. Same thing here but in 3 1/2 minutes instead of 2 hours.

    Lyrics in english
Ah A virtual image that I believed far away
    I knew it
    Even though
Excuse and each other's dreams were dyed in contradiction
    Crossing front and back emotions
The line between likes and dislikes
Something that disappears before you know it
    Oh chasing
    It's very simple.
Ah, love that can't be helped
As a proof that the scratches that collide with each other are also carved
With feelings that do not change no matter what
    Tired of tomorrow
A world that changes suddenly It's like a tragedy
It’s okay to repaint your thoughts
    Reach out again
The end of the flowing moon, something that is never beautiful
Transience and ugliness are also love, right?
Even if you don't like it
    We will start over fresh.
    Love that can't be helped
The scratches that collide with each other will be in the future
Two people who do not change no matter what
    Overlapping and squeaking
    Oh, Yes!
It’s like an emotional ghost with no So definition
There are days when I fly in the air and fall down
    Listen and talk, talk, talk
    Listen and talk, talk, talk
    Listen and talk, talk, talk
I'll tie it up again and again
    Start over fresh
    Incomplete relationships that go around
    Accepting unbearable interests
    Forever forever forever
Look back and laugh no matter how many years have passed
Ah, love that can't be helped
As a proof that the scratches that collide with each other are also carved
With feelings that do not change no matter what
    The peace sign
    I don't give a fuck people OK
