Love these vids..if any of you are serious about learning EU PORTUGUESE..I suggest getting in Carla's wait list..it only took me a couple of weeks and it is so worth it..they are by far the funnest couple to learn with..I've really been enjoying it.
Carla, OMG this is so adorable! I really liked the Gestures vid as well. I have been in Lisboa for a couple weeks, but stuck "socially isolating" for a week. Thank you for helping me get more Portuguese language and culture than I have been getting from the balcony in Lapa. Wash hands and stay healthy.

Olá! You’ll retain the meaning of the words more effectively if you look them up for yourself as it will have a greater impact on your memory as you’ll ACTIVELY be looking for the meanings. You could even just type these foods on google in Portuguese and look at the images: having the picture of the food or drink, plus the sound of the respective name as well as being able to visualise the spelling will speed up the learning process more so than a translation would 👌🏽

Olá Carla! Eu gostaria de saber se podemos usar o "possessive adjective" (não se é assim...) "its" para fazer referência a uma pessoa que não sabemos o género. Por exemplo: - Someone took away my shoes. - Probably its shoes are not quite enough. Péssimo exemplo, eu sei, mas acho que deu para entender. É uma dúvida muito específica, eu penso, mas espero que me possas ajudar e continua com o teu trabalho que até eu aprendo inglês mesmo que o objetivo não seja esse xD Obrigado! :D
Marco Martins olá 👋🏽 Não existe “its” em português. Para o exemplo que usaste, podemos dizer “alguém levou os meus sapatos. Provavelmente (Claramente - eu diria “clearly ” em vez de “probably”) OS SEUS sapatos não LHE bastam” ou “... os sapatos DELE OU DELA não bastam”. Lhe = ele ou ela, não lhe bastam = are not enough to him/her “Os seus” refere-se a “sapatos”, assim o sexo da pessoa não é indicado 👍🏽 “Dele ou dela” - demonstra que não sabes quem foi a pessoa que levou os sapatos, se foi um homem ou uma mulher. Espero que tenha respondido à pergunta 👍🏽
Vishal Rawal olá :) the noun “trabalho” is often mistaken by the different forms of the verb “trabalhar”, so for your benefit and of others I will give you the heads up on this one: In the Present of the Indicative: (eu) trabalhO, (tu) trabalhAS, (você/ele/ela) trabalhA, etc. “TrabalhO” alone may mean “I work” or “work” or “job” depending on context, so: “good job”! Or “good work”! = “bom trabalho”! You can use “boa” together with “trabalhadora” - boa trabalhadora = good worker (speaking of females).
