For those who don't know, the aircraft lost all hydraulics during it's flight which meant NO control. The only reason the pilots were able to save so many lives was because the pilot studied JAL flight 123, which was a similar incident except the plane had crashed into the side of a mountain.
Makes me remember jal 123 💀
I studied JAL 123 using the calculations 💀

It reminds me of JAL flight 123
I read that as the pilot survive JAL Flight 123 😭
The pilots did an awesome job at finding ways to get this plane on the ground as safe as possible, I know it crashed, but more than half of the passengers survived cause of these heroes. Luckily all the pilots survived
112-184=💀
About 65% Died

Wasn't his name Fitch? You can hear him in the CVR too.

the pilot survived and his first words were how many people are hurt
The pilots I heard where praised for there heroic actions saving many life’s is that true

The cause of the crash was determined as engine failure due to a microscopic imperfection caused by a titanium crack in the tail mounted engine, This led to the loss of several controls and hydraulics, As the plane was landing, It turned to the left and caused the plane to cartwheel before stopping upside down.
my theory that it was a birdstrike

Very similar on how the cargo plane crashed the hydraulics were destroyed one of the engines were destroyed
United Airlines Flight 232 was a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Denver, Colorado, to Chicago, Illinois, operated by a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-10 aircraft. On July 19, 1989, the aircraft experienced a catastrophic failure of its tail-mounted engine, resulting in the loss of all hydraulic flight controls. Despite the unprecedented challenges, the flight crew managed to perform a remarkable crash landing at Sioux City, Iowa, using only engine thrust modulation to control the aircraft's direction. While the crash resulted in 111 fatalities, including one crew member, the skill and determination of the flight crew saved the lives of 185 passengers and many others on board, making it one of the most remarkable examples of successful emergency aviation procedures in history.
United Airlines Flight 232 was a regularly scheduled United Airlines flight from Stapleton International Airport in Denver to O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, continuing to Philadelphia International Airport. On July 19, 1989, the DC-10 (registered as N1819U) serving the flight crash-landed at Sioux Gateway Airport in Sioux City, Iowa, after suffering a catastrophic failure of its tail-mounted engine due to an unnoticed manufacturing defect in the engine's fan disk, which resulted in the loss of many flight controls. Of the 296 passengers and crew on board, 112 died during the accident, while 184 people survived. 13 of the passengers were uninjured. It was the deadliest single-aircraft accident in the history of United Airlines.
Bro really said: plane goes VROOM VROOM☠️
The pilots did the best job they could’ve done. They managed to make it like an average Ryanair landing
pilots did absolutely amazing
RIP to them 😢
In honor of United Airlines Flight 232 I built a United Airlines DC-10 in Roblox plane crazy with the same livery
DC-10 why am I not surprised
Because you're idiot most of DC-10 crashes was caused by pilot error or bad maintenance
DC-10 "plane of death" had over 1,200 passenger fatalities and 32 hull loss incidents. And the survival rate on this plane is 60.5%. So thats why its called "Death Plane" or "Plane of Death".
D: Death
C: Chamber
1: 1,000s of lives lost
0: 0 survivors
Result:
Death Chamer 1,000s of lives lost 0 survivors
@@Radiant-Steamz I was abou to comment that 😂but yeah its so sad how Deadly the planewas
You all are idiots only 13% of DC-10s built crashed, and only 8% of hull losses were design problems so 30 of the 32 hull losses were human error. Before taking shit about an incredibly safe aircraft, do some goddamn research for gods sake.
And why don’t you talk shit about a 747 huh? Apparently it’s only about the deaths and hull losses. That thing has 64 hull losses and over 3,000 deaths
hows about you go look at the 747 or the 737
For those who don't know, this plane broke the rudder a little and the FLAPS 2 near the rudder on the plane broke, I couldn't get the control, I only managed to control the turbine, they arrived at the airport but the curve was forgotten.
You are using the pronoun "I" Instead of "He" or "It".
Okay, I don't know what your talking about, halfway through their flight, a engine disk in the number 2 engine broke, causing all three hydraulic systems to break, United airlines 232 declared emergency and headed for the nearest airport, which was Sioux Gateway Airport(Sux) When they were about to land the nose went down and the plane collided with the ground and spun, 111 people including flight attendants were killed, 11 people who were killed were children.

Come on they were so close for an emergency landing 😭
This was a 1 in a billion chance to have all the hydraulics fail. If it wasn't for check airman Dennis Fitch being on board and learning from JAL Flight 123 about using throttles to control the aircraft, almost everybody if not everybody would've died

Those pilots are true heroes. The way they managed to save so many lives in that situation is crazy😮
Is it only me wondering why planes have hydraulics in the tail🗣️🗣️
what else if gonna move the rudders? A fucking surfer?

Good money man
Was that Fedex 80 looks like
When its crashed it was 4:00PM
The only reason why the pilots saved many lives was because they studied about jal123 and they saved any lives more than only 4 survivors in jal123
Technically the reason for the engine failure was a broken engine disc
Wait the aircraft in the animation is an MD 11
How did 184 survive OF THAT DOOM OF SH!!
You know somethings gonna happen when there’s a dc 10
Rip to all who died😢

Dc10: no I'm n- crashing
The DC-10 had their hydraulics fail idk mins after takeoff from an airport that idk and had to make an emergancy landing somewhere and the right wing got destroyed as soon as touchdown happened 184 people lives but 112 people dien in total of 296 occupants and that was a big loss and a fright because it was filmed on the news
sad that they were so close
Ahhh... the DC10 💀💀
They were so close until they lost hydraulic
Well I mean still like 200 ppl survived

The only thing they could do to steer the plane was use engine thrust.

JAL 123 really made them survive until to the destination

Bro this plane is even nicked name “flying death” but luckily they survived
Not all
God, those horizontal stabilizers are so inaccurate compared to the real DC-10..
It wasn't an engine failure it was an hydraulic failure which makes it uncontrollable
@smallgamer6948 I never said it wasn't a hydraulic failure. I'm talking about the inaccurate animation of the horizontal stabilizer. Also, there was indeed an engine failure. A catastrophic explosion of engine number 2 thus causing hydraulic failure due to flying shrapnel severing all hydraulic lines.
@@rizzy8928 so that means that maybe the horizontal stabilizers may have broke?
r.i.p dc-10
Great job From the pilots
Remember kids, DC-10 means Death Chamber10
It's not a death chamber it saves lives and plus the 737 has 504 (5,717 fatalities) crashes while the DC-10 and MD-11 have only 53 crashes some of them not fatal

The reason why this plane crash would because the the two engines on the wings we're not strong enough to hold the plane so that's why the DC 10 has a third engine on the way to hold up the plane and the tail of the plane is the main part of the plane and without the tail Pilots will lose balance of the plane which will result in a horrifying crash 😢😢😢😢
296 people were in that airplane????
The DC-10 is a wide body soul of course
This plane only turn right because it did not turn left
