I don’t think I’ve ever been more disgusted by a move made by the NY Giant front office in the 50+ years I’ve rooted for them. If an NFC championship game were to feature the hated Eagles vs the F’in Giants - if #26 is in the eagle backfield I will be rooting Hard for him to win. F the Giants. F Shoen and anybody else from that org. that were fine w/ him just walking. The press built up Shoen - Dabble so much pre-season last that I actually bought into it. However, reality struck like a mo’fo’r 15 minutes into game 1 vs Dallas! It was clear to anyone paying attention in those first 15 minutes that this season was TOAST! What was obvious was the fact that the GM Shoen & Coach Daboll had just went into a new season with the absolute WORST O-LINE IN RECORDED NFL HISTORY!!!! 1/2 the time Barkley had to wrestle the ball away from 2-3 defenders on every hand-off b4 he could even hope for positive yardage. I pray he stays healthy this year bc he WILL have 1500+ rushing and 500+ receiving while being nothing but the most reliable, positive teammate a coach or fan could ask for! Best of luck, Saquon. Has missed 27% of his potential starts since entering the league. Only played a full season once in his career as a rookie. Durability and availability aren't his strong suit. Good luck as the mileage increases and he approaches 30.
Said the same thing about Swift. See it’s different when you’re not the entire offense and the box isn’t stacked every play. Also the 3 seasons prior to CMC going to San Fran look at his injury statuses, would you take him still?
Yea he ain’t carrying a team no more. Philly has plenty of other weapons to not burn 26 out.
2018 and 2022 he played full, uninjured seasons (2022 NYG sat him the last game before the playoffs, but he was healthy). 2020 was the ACL. 2021 and 2023 were freak sprained ankle injuries, and by the time he was ready to play they were lost seasons anyway so no need to rush back.
