    I'm glad Mildred is okay. It's okay to tell kids the sad, scary stuff, too. They learn by it. It just matters how you say it. You learn by your mistakes. If you make no mistakes, you won't learn anything. ✌️

      Very true. That's why I opted to tell them what happened. ❤

    At the beginning I loved the “antenna ears” at the bottom of the screen 😂
    The skeeters were giving me the heebie-jeebies
    *** go look at the reviews for your gray coffeemug on *Zon* there’s a guy who puts a small isobutanefuel a *brs stove* and a minibic in there and tops it with a silicone collapsible cup. Pretty ingenious 👍🏻

      The ears cracked me up when I was editing, lol. Yes! Actually my dad showed me that trick about 4-5 years ago. When I'm not planning on building a fire I have an isobutane canister and mini lighter in there with a brs stove! Pretty sweet hack!

    Glad to see you. Love your hair. Pick up some Avon Skin so Soft oil. Use it in the shower. Keeps most insects away. There is always one bug nothing will stop them from biting you. Lol. I use about a quart of gasoline on ant nests and bees nest. Be careful when lighting it.

    I live in South Georgia, and I have a Walker hound. I worry about my dog in the heat but those dogs were actually bred more in the south. They can tolerate more than you think. That is probably why Mildred survived. It is over 100 a lot where I live

      @dannymcnally6211 6 місяців тому

      At 21:56 you said at first you wasn’t going to say anything to them.. It was an accident of course.. I’d hate to see a dog go like that that’s all.. 85 degrees outside means 140 plus in a closed up car within an hour… ✌️

    • @MaineGirlOutdoors
      @MaineGirlOutdoors  6 місяців тому +1

      I was just sharing my thoughts with you all. My immediate thought right after the incident was "holy crap, that was awful, we almost had a dead dog" and I was thinking of how absolutely heartsick the kids would have been. The child that made the mistake is a sensitive soul with a HUGE heart; just knowing that they nearly killed the dog and had her suffering for hours tore them up. It was just my honest, instant knee-jerk mama reaction to want to shield them from that. But like I said, the more I thought about it, the clearer it became that they had to know and to never make that mistake again. I know, looking back it seems foolish to think that at first, but just being real with you. Thanks for watching.
