TechCamp Morocco 2: Preserving Cultural Heritage

On December 2-4, 2022, the U.S. Embassy in Morocco and the High Atlas Foundation organized TechCamp Morocco 2, bringing together seven teams of youth and civil society leaders from around Morocco to engage meaningfully in the #preservation of cultural heritage. All teams had previously participated in the first edition of TechCamp Morocco, which took place in July 2022.
During TechCamp 2, which was held in Rabat, participants honed their cultural project ideas during three specialized workshops focused on leadership, project design and management, and public speaking and project pitching. On the final morning of the workshop, the teams presented their project ideas to a jury consisting of five representatives from the U.S. Embassy and the High Atlas Foundation. The three winning teams, which were announced by U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco Puneet Talwar, are receiving seed funding to implement their community-based heritage projects.
