Haha, that's true. The most surprising sound effect. These sonys are funny though. I own several old ones and they all play some wild sound and sound like video games operating the menus.
Glad they all seek to work, even the crunchy Canon. I’ve got the W125 and W130. Nice little cameras, and the placement of the ov really helps get stable lowish-light shots. Since the shells are identical, you can swap them. My 125 is now pink with a black base, and the 130 black with a pink base👌.
My dad took most of my childhood photos and video on those little Sony Point and Shoots. Had over 50 at one point! I remember him giving me a baby blue W170 for my birthday once. Definitely an upgrade from the DSi camera O had at the time. That start up sound is just as nostalgic to me as the Windows 7 start up!
I was on holiday once and was able to go to a gig nearby so I went and bought a camera similar to those Sonys (because of the max f2.0), took some frankly surprisingly nice gig photos and sold it again not long afterwards :) [I remember that startup sound!]

That startup sound is the same as in my modern dashcam. It has a Sony sensor so I guess that explains it
Nothing beats the cat meow on old Pentax cameras like the Mx-1

Picture in Picture mode is the panorama mode. It helps you overlay one photo onto the next.
that was a panoramic mode not picture in picture
I dug a Sony DSC-W230 out if a scrap pile. It seemed dead, but after charging the battery, it booted!
I love that first Sony camera, still have mine

Man it's been a long time since I heard the sony startup sound
they need to start putting ovfs back on compact cameras
the grinding noise sounded like a woman with Fred Flintstone feet. 😂 what about the other 8? Old Sony seem to break easy on their Lens cover.
Need accessories for the Olympus stylus 800 charger and stuff
you can convert to full spectrum infrared camera then sell it again on ebay
I have a similar model.
You can mod them for ir and sell them for 100$ a piece
Are the Sony's or Canon's easier to mod?
@@snappiness both seem easy to mod since they’re digicams
Clean them up.
