(00:57) "Evelyn’s response to Whitman’s demand, “I’ve paid my fare, I’ll sit where I please,” gave me chills. Her calm yet firm stance in the face of blatant racism is incredibly powerful. Bravo to her courage!"
A black guy and a white guy were stood waiting for a bus, and when it arrived both guys started arguing about who should get on first. The bus conductor said, "I've no patience for this colour war, I see everyone as green. Right light greens to the front, dark greens to the back".....
What an incredible story of resilience and justice! Watching Evelyn face such adversity with grace and strength is both heartbreaking and empowering. Karma truly worked its magic here!
26:34 One of the most intense moments in the story is when Robert Whitman, in a fit of uncontrollable anger, grabbed Evelyn and threatened to drag her out of her seat. This action shocked both the passengers on the bus and the crowd outside, triggering a strong reaction from everyone, including the police. This was the turning point of the story, highlighting not only the injustice Evelyn faced but also compelling the witnesses to break their silence and take action to stand up for what is right.
When the bus driver said, 'Move to the back,' Evelyn Carter hit him with the ultimate plot twist: staying seated and taking a stand. By the end, he wasn’t driving the bus-he was riding one straight to accountability."
As the Transport Authority accepts that he was enforcing the rules they implicitly confirm the racist rules that black people have to sit in the back. This argument seems to have gotten lost in the defense
@@ShawnCarter-rm4mr But they had cellphones, because a young man filmed it happening on his phone. So it couldn't have been that far in the past and there are still people who believe people of other races, not just black, don't belong in America today.
So now he says that he enforces policy. Policy is the responsibility of Transport Authority. He admits that it wasn't his rule, but policy. This is seriously.
She's allowed to sit up front! She's Rosa Parks, that's who she reminds me of, she didn't move to the back of the bus either, and started the Montgomery Bus Boycott movement. He's a racist pig of a bus driver who doesn't have the right to tell her to move to the back of the bus, those days are gone, and he doesn't deserve to be a bus driver!

This may have been the norm back in year 1960. This is the year 2024. You can't treat people this way.
Some people only stood up after realizing the incident was being recorded; would they have acted otherwise?

I think the worst moment was in the beginning, when and how he yelled at her and ordered her to sit in the back, clearly racist.
@@domi7261 Like I said, she reminds me of Rosa Parks.
THAT WAS BACK THEN THIS IS NOW YOU CAN SIT WHERE EVER YOU WANT TO SIT

I don't understand why nobody is seaking
Somebody needs to speak up and say that this is racism which has no place in these times.
This isn't 1955 of the days of segregation with the civil rights act
This happened 1hr ago. Here we go, again
All I can say is this video is a clear example of Rosa Parks 2.0 that's what this video shows Rosa Parks 2.0
Dude thought it was 1950s
the fact that he only looked at her skin color to treat her, it is the evil of racism
