I just bought the Wesco brushless version because I own a Worx branded cordless drill and the batteries are compatible. That's not really surprising as both are made by Positec. They also manufacture the Ferrex brand of tools for German discount retailer ALDI, as well as Bauker, Xceed and Blue Ridge brands.
Amazing. Great review. I take it the point of impact drivers is that it saves the step of having to drill pilot holes. Just wondering, these look like special screws possibly coated with a lubricant ? You get the strength of a screw with just a bit more installation time versus a nail gun ?
Thanks for watching! Depending upon what you are doing you may still need a pilot hole, screws have no coating, obviously more strength with a screw vs a nail depending on size
You're comparing a new 20v tool to an old 18v tool. It's no surprise that the Wesco did well against the Milwaukee. The $55 price point is surprising for a 20v tool with battery. It would be interesting to see how difficult a warranty claim would be.
Wesco is actually 18 volt too the same as Worx. Worx claim their batteries are 20v max but in reality are 18volt. Both brands of Positec. I have the Bauker another Positec brand 18 volt version of the impact driver which is coloured two shades of grey but it's the same tool.
