another fact is. they stationed the Chola army in Burma, Thailand, Indonasia and some East Asian countries for longer period. also they used lots of Elephants to build Angkor wat temple and Tanjoor Periya kovil. so defenatley more than 20,000 easily. but its not sure it will be 60,000

See you can never take a novel as it is . This novel when you read you will be forced to create your own kingdom and the flow. This I am not exaggerating seriously.
Hope you understand why people have negative feedback. But understand synchronizing the books in to two parts and with so many casts inside with real fact which happened. Imagine how was it possible for Mani Rathnam to take and direct such a movie. I really am shocked. Hats off for his effort and all the starcast who didn't care about their seniority, worked together to make this novel for the world to know. How can some one speak ill about such an effort. Please stop it. It's our ancestors story. Don't portray any negative feelings to the world. Particularly about Chola dynasty. A vast area was under their control which no one could even imagine in their dreams to create.

This movie will not be as grandeur as Bahaubali but more into story content. Personally, Bahuballi was a cheap movie for me never liked both the parts, yeah there were 2 scenes which was really stand out for me was the erecting of the statue and balval devan crowning scene. But PS will be entwining around the characters and screen play. Rightly said there will be conspiracy inside the stories. Yeah Vikram a.k.a Kenny is good in doing multiple get ups but what is the use there is no single blockbuster hit for him after Anniyan & I to a certain extent. Lets see whether he can bring back the Sethu, Saamy, Dhool kind of hit.

Bahubali is praised for it's graphic works. but the story is not the best. and it's completely and fiction.
Even good graphical sceans were too much and boring.
But Ponniyin Selvan is about at least 50% true history. All Cholas, Vandiya thevan, Kunthavai, Pandiyas are real in history. Nandini is fictional. and the love story also fictional. Clash between Cholas and Pandyas also true. but still unknown how the Cholas dynasty fallen. some books say it's because of Pandya's cunning plans to make internal clashes in the kingdom.
@@nnTamilan Heard Ponniyin Selvan back in the late 80s and seen a video log 3 years back, hence i am aware of the story, i am intrigues where they are going to end Part 1 and start the Part2.
