Jacob Elizalde When Zed closed, they brought the trapeze team to Mystere because they just removed the High Bar act. And I think because Renee Dupere was the compositor of Zed soundtrack and the dual compositor of Mystere soundtrack (with Benoit Jutras) they choose to keep the song. But it's just my theory
While I enjoy this new act, I still miss the original High Bar music. Even though this song was redone for Mystere, it doesn't fit the show. Just my opinion and I still enjoy the song, but not for Mystere.
"Birimbau" is in the same key as this song, and has almost the exact same chord progression. While I enjoy "High Bar" and the rest of Benoit's contribution to the show, most people thought that song was too dark for the show.
Evan I'm not sure how many people disliked "High Bar" and why they do to begin with. It's just what I have seen from commenters throughout the years. I think it is a great song and very fitting for the show, but after many years, the show needed some adjustments. It's why they also replaced "Misha" with "Nouvelle Envol". It's a matter of keeping things fresh.

Even though Fiesta doesn't really match Mystere, I'm still glad that a little piece of Zed lives on.

I agree, it doesn't fit. I don't understand why they couldn't just adopt high bar or Birimbau to the new act.

10-15 years ago if you'd told me they copy+paste a song from another show I would laugh it your face. "Cirque? No way!" Now it's normal I guess lol
