Thank you very much for this comprehensive WinCC tutorial. Can you give us few more hints about how to determine which recipe in the table is selected (method to automatically determine the ID) so user does not need to enter the ID if he wants to delete the recipe. Also, it would be of great help if we could read all the ingredients of the selected recipe. Thank you Bob in advance!
You can use the toolbar on user archive control and select recipes and delete them or change them. I think there is also a event when you select a recipe that will tell you what the selected recipe is if you want to use it in a script
@@WinCCGURU Yes, my intention is to use the script and the event was exactly what I was looking for! I tried it and it works. Thank you once again, you are a true WinCC Guru!👍👌
I prefer to use csv files or xml file for recipe, in fact if you have an ERP it may push this kind of file on your scada, i never understand why this Wincc option exist ?
A CSV file is just data. User Archives is a complete Recipe system, and can be also used to generate production reports because it has the PLC to Database interface. The PLC can control all aspects of creating, loading and managing recipes, or manually by the operator. Thanks for the comment!!
Great content Mr. Bob. I'm a new subscriber. I need a little guidance from you. See, I am logging some tags on hourly and daily basis. Which means I have created two entries for each process value in my archive and logging cycle is set to 1 hour and 1 day for the two entries respectively. What I need to do is, perform the hourly logs exactly at 1pm, 2pm (and so on) and perform the daily log at exactly 7am everyday. How can I specify the time for logging as it is a random time right now.
Sir can we create the report generation by using the user archive? Instead of feeding data I just want to move My PLC tag data to User archive memory and generate the table to show that saved data as a history
Yes you can. You could move the PLC data to a new record to create a kind of production log. The data could be exported from the user archive table from the user archive control or via script.
One existing system user archive data not login but connection is ok....it was continuously working from last 2 years so last 2 years logged datasbare available but from last month it's missing. But there are no connection error. What might be this issue??
It could be many things. Check the WinCC error logs to see if there are relevant errors. How was the logging done, via script or control tags ? Make sure nothing has changed there.
@@WinCCGURU control tags ... nothing changes i tested with same tag along with online table control wincc system there datas are logging but user archive control is same as it is....
@akhtarmondal9548 the online table control is only for tag logging (process value archives), so I assume you are looking at the online table to see control tag changes? You could check the User Archive data in the editor by selecting the User Archive, then look at the stored archive data to see if it shows up in the editor. if so, the user archive control might not be set to look at the right archive. if not, then you need to troubleshoot why the Control tags aren't triggering the storage of data. hope this helps.
great content again Thanks Bob
Thanks for watching!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Thanks for being a subscriber! You can set when the timers fire on the cycles them selves. For daily you can set the time to 7:00a and hourly to :00
@@WinCCGURU where is the option to set this time? I'm having trouble finding it. How can I specify this time?
Look at the properties of the timer itself. Are you using v8 or earlier version?
@@WinCCGURU actually I am using version 7.5. So far I've been working smoothly following your videos. But this I cannot figure out.
Ill make you a quick video using WinCC 7.5.. stay tuned @@realomer
