MSS Sleep SYstem TRiCkS and TiPS

Taking a look at my trusted MSS sleep system. I've been using the MSS system for over thirty years. It's always come through for me. I love being able to adapt it to whatever weather conditions i'm entering into. During the summer i'll use just the GORE-TEX Bivy. In the dead of winter i use the complete system; Patrol bag, Intermediate bag the Bivy and my layered clothing to stay snug as a bug down into the negative temperatures.
The PATROL bag is rated to 50 degrees. The INTERMEDIATE is rated to -10. Both bags plus the BIVY are rated to -30...if you have the proper layered clothing on. AS of this writing you can pick them up in grade A condition for around $175 at MIDWAusa, sportsmansguide and similar.
The system is heavy coming in at around 9 lbs. A good night's sleep is golden. The MSS is worth its weight in gold.
