THANK YOU!!!! After 4 weeks of not understanding inequalities in class. I spend 10 minutes watching a video and I find it easy. You saved me from failing
@rachelkuz We'l start by adding 1/2 to both sides. 4x - 1/2 + 1/2 = 270 + 1/2 4x = 270 1/2 Since we're working with the fraction, we'll convert the mixed number into an improper fraction. 4x = 541/2 Then, we want to get the x by itself. Since it's multiplication we'll divide by 4 on both sides. However, we're working with fractions so I'll take a shortcut and multiply by 1/4, which is the same as dividing by 4. (1/4)(4x) = (541/2)(1/4) x = 541/8 = 67 5/8 I hope that helps! :-)
To solve that inequality, we'll start by subtracting 2.7g from both sides. 2.7g - 2.7g + 12 > 3.2g - 2.7g 12 > 0.5g Then divide by 0.5 on both sides to get the g by itself. 12/0.5 > 0.5g/0.5 24 > g or g < 24 I hope that helps! Keep working hard on your math! :-)
We'll start by subtracting 3 from both sides. (-5/6)x + 3 - 3 less than (LT) 1/2 - 3 (-5/6)x LT -2 1/2 (-5/6)x LT -5/2 Then we'll multiply by the reciprocal to clear out the fraction that's left being multiplied by the x. Also, don't forget to flip the inequality symbol because we're multiplying by a negative on both sides. (-6/5)(-5/6)x LT (-5/2)(-6/5) x greater than (GT) 30/10 x GT 3 I hope that helps! Keeping working hard on your math! You can do it! :-)
THANK YOU DHKDHJKDHJHDJHUEHURUF! YOU ARE MY HERO! THIS IS THE VIDEO THAT MADE ME GET HOW TO DO THIS!! I AM 100% READY FOR MY TEST NOW BECAUSE OF YOU! :)
Perhaps you could check out some of the videos that lead up to this one with one-step inequalities? Is there a certain type of problem that's giving you trouble? Let me know and I'll see if I can help! :-)
hey, I was watching your video and I noticed that you made a mistake on #5. You simplified your problem until you got 2/4(c)-1/4 ≤ -3/4 after which you added 1/4 to each side. However, you forgot to write the negative -2/4 (you left it as 2/4(c) ≤ 2/4,). After multiplying by the reciprocal, you should've gotten an answer of "c ≤ -1" instead of "c ≤ 1". Besides that, amazing video, helped me a lot! Thanks! :)
Hi. Thank you for this invaluable help. I am new to this math and having difficulty with it. Could you help me? 4x-1/2=270. If you could explain this to me, I think I will come to understand it. Thank you!
Thank you! Sorry about that! I've added annotations to show the correct work and answer.

5th problem Fraction. Would -3/4 + 1/4= -2/4
@rachelkuz
We'l start by adding 1/2 to both sides.
4x - 1/2 + 1/2 = 270 + 1/2
4x = 270 1/2
Since we're working with the fraction, we'll convert the mixed number into an improper fraction.
4x = 541/2
Then, we want to get the x by itself. Since it's multiplication we'll divide by 4 on both sides. However, we're working with fractions so I'll take a shortcut and multiply by 1/4, which is the same as dividing by 4.
(1/4)(4x) = (541/2)(1/4)
x = 541/8 = 67 5/8
I hope that helps! :-)
To solve that inequality, we'll start by subtracting 2.7g from both sides.
2.7g - 2.7g + 12 > 3.2g - 2.7g
12 > 0.5g
Then divide by 0.5 on both sides to get the g by itself.
12/0.5 > 0.5g/0.5
24 > g or g < 24
I hope that helps! Keep working hard on your math! :-)
We'll start by subtracting 3 from both sides.
(-5/6)x + 3 - 3 less than (LT) 1/2 - 3
(-5/6)x LT -2 1/2
(-5/6)x LT -5/2
Then we'll multiply by the reciprocal to clear out the fraction that's left being multiplied by the x. Also, don't forget to flip the inequality symbol because we're multiplying by a negative on both sides.
(-6/5)(-5/6)x LT (-5/2)(-6/5)
x greater than (GT) 30/10
x GT 3
I hope that helps! Keeping working hard on your math! You can do it! :-)

What part is giving you trouble? Perhaps you might start by looking at solving inequalities by adding or subtracting first?

Yes Papi Ihave also tried its -1
@@aliveluduvvuri5894 Papi already graduated engineering undergrad, he doesn’t remember any of this
when adding/subtracting variables or like terms, do you always have to use the smallest value?
What part is giving you trouble? I'll see if I can explain it another way. :-)
How do you mean "use the smallest value"? Can you give me an example?
Hi. Thank you for this invaluable help. I am
new to this math and having difficulty with it.
Could you help me?
4x-1/2=270. If you could explain this to me, I
think I will come to understand it. Thank you!
Thank you so much! you saved my math grade!!
You're right. See the annotation. :-) Thanks!
Great teacher
very good videos keep it up
Thanks! :-)
at the last equation cant you just add 8 to eliminate it than deviding
Oh never mind I got it! thanks for the vid, I have an exam tommorow
what about 6+7(2-7r)>167 I can see any youtube video to help me with this problem can you help me
thanks, this helps!
@AboveNoobLegend
Awesome! Way to go! Keep working hard! :-)
thanks this was very helpfull
OMG thank you so much this really helped me
thanks it really helped
Thanks you epic teacher u helped me all I can say is thanks :D
