I think we were too overly excited from hitting 999999 when we filmed this video! There are some wrong point values and targets. Here are the corrections courtesy of Drew2328:
Hit the inside of the robot's hand - 100,000 points
Claw on top of the roof (same room) - 50,000 points
Top target on volcano - 25,000 points
bottom of Zurg's ship - 100,000 points, NOT 250,000
black dot on ship in projection room - 100,000 points

I got galactic hero one time.. I have no clue how I did it cause I was shooting at random things while spinning! Lol!

Hi, I was the original designer for most of the Buzz Lightyear rides (Florida, California, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Paris). When we first installed the Florida ride, we put two hidden targets with high score value in the ride, but not the ones mentioned in this video. They were just below the small Z on Zurg's neck, in the dark gap in the center of his chest. Hitting these was the only way to max out the score. Unfortunately, they were very difficult to hit, even if you knew they're there. So I suspect the park changed the score value on the targets on the bottom of his ship to make up for this (they originally didn't have a high score). I'm not up to date whether the various incarnations of this ride have done a similar update, but ALL of them were designed with hidden targets right under Zurg's neck insignia. Not sure if they still work though. But they used to!

the best target is actually the claw in the first room, and it's easy to hit

I've known about the one at the bottom of Zurg's ship for a while now, I almost always max out my score - I get about 800,000 from that one target...
I maxed out my points without help once. No joke.
EnderzGaming did the same thing.....I maxed out in the first big room

Technically you can't get galactic hero because at 2:13 it says you have to get over 999,999, which is impossible with it only going up to 999,999. Not sure if that was on purpose or just a funny coincidence.

TopOfLobby apparently you can score over 999,999. It just won't show it on your screen. You need to ask them at the end to find out your actual score

Strange...I thought I remember that how much score you get depends on the shape of "Z" targets, such as circle being the common one, squares awarding more, and triangles being the highest but also the hardest to find and hit...does the rule of the ride changes depending on which park you're at?
So can you shoot the same target more than once?
