Many compassionate, smart men like myself are going to rally behind Kamala Harris as well. I've been a supporter of equal rights for every law-abiding, non-convicted citizen as long as I have lived. I do not want to see Republicans decide what we do with our health and bodies, be we male, female, or any other gender choice. Nor do I want to be told what religion to follow. As a 65 year old man, I fully support a woman's right to decide and choose her own plan and actions based on her own reasonings. Be it far from me to tell a woman, or anyone for that matter, what they should be able or not able to decide, choose and and act upon for themselves. It has been my experience that more men support women rights than do not. My opinion is we have given the wrong people leadership and power positions. Vote Consciously. Vote Freedom. Vote Democracy. Most women get abortions because they don't want their baby, or use it as their birth control. Occasionally there are problems that endanger the mother, but it's not many. It's not a matter of wanting to have an abortion or not. As a OR nurse we got young female patients that came through the ER with vaginal bleeding and/or severe abdominal pain and they didn't know they had an ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancies, and non viable pregnancies including ongoing miscarriages. These women didn't know they were pregnant when this happened usually around 10 weeks average and needed a D&C. But can happen earlier and later.
I said "got patients" because this is at a busy SE Florida hospital and after Desantis passed the 6 week abortion law, I have no idea where are these women are being sent to after being seeing in the ER.
I had an ectopic pregnancy 25 years ago. I had no idea I was pregnant. They had to cut me open to find out if that was what was happening or if my appendix had burst. I was told that if I had waited another hour to go to the hospital that I would have died. These are serious issues, the doctors should be the ones making the calls without fear of going to jail or losing their licenses.

In Idaho, the court ruled that the laws against abortion currently force an average of 4 to 6 women a month to need emergency airlifts to a different state because they need procedures prohibited by state law. How many women die as a direct consequence? While that wasn't part of the lawsuit, the fact that so many women are being emergency airlifted out of state certainly implies a non-zero death rate.
When one asks how many men are affected by such laws, the answer, of course, is zero.
